John McCain and Cindy McCain's "marriage"

Thu Jul 03, 2008 at 08:05:59 PM PDT

There is something disconcerting about John McCain and his relationships with the women that he is married to.  John McCain treats Cindy McCain as invisible.  It’s not that I feel sympathy for Cindy McCain, it’s that it more a sign of what kind of man John McCain is that matters to me.  If you watch John McCain and Cindy McCain, he never holds her hand as they are walking side by side, no gentlemanly attention whatsoever. In this youtube video, he accidently shakes her hand and there is no response on his part for his mistake.  I’m not even going to go into the time he called her a c**t!

Obama works to sway Superdelegates today

Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 12:26:04 PM PDT

The AP says that Obama has been working the phones hard today in order to get enough Superdelegates to declare tomorrow so that Obama can claim victory tomorrow night in Minneapolis.

Most SD do not want to declare their support for Obama until Wednesday after all votes are counted.  I think they are so concerned with not "hurting" the feelings of the Clintons, even though we all have had to endure "the kitchen sink" type of campaign for months.

McCain's Healthcare plan for Dummies

Mon May 05, 2008 at 05:30:24 AM PDT

  1. Repeal the tax exemptions for corporations who purchase health insurance for their employees. Reason?  So companies will do away with purchasing the insurance for their employees.
  1. Have faith that the corporations will to the "right" thing and pass those savings (from not having to purchase health care for employees) onto the employees themselves in the form of higher wages.
  1. Companies set up optional Health Savings Accounts for each employee to contribute to from the "extra" pay.

McCain says goodbye Employee healthcare w/video

Thu May 01, 2008 at 08:41:12 PM PDT

What are you Superdelegates Waiting for?

Tue Apr 15, 2008 at 05:00:56 AM PDT

Excuse my rant, but any good Democrat could see that Hillary Clinton is in the race for herself and her own so-called glory.  She has no conscience about trying to destroy Barack Obama, even though she knows that she cannot win enough pledged delegates to overtake him.  She is waging war for the "Superdelegates".  Will the Superdelegates truley overturn the popular vote and delegates to steal it from Obama and give it to her?  No.  So what the FUCK are they waiting for?  Superdelegates...grow a set of balls and end this thing.  Come out in mass and back Obama.  This commercial she starting running against Obama shows her disdain for the party.  My mom always tells me "when someone shows you who they are, believe them"

New Obama Ads--Hillary Opened the Door!

Sat Apr 12, 2008 at 11:50:20 AM PDT

Since Hillary opened the door this morning by calling Barack Obama an elitist, i believe it is more than fair game that the Obama campaign hit back and hard (preferably first) because you know the McClintons are at the drawing board right now trying to come up with that next ad.  They are going to put it on the air just before Pennsylvania votes so Obama can't response to it in time on air.

Job assignment for Kossacks

Wed Apr 09, 2008 at 09:31:29 AM PDT

Surely there is a video of Bill Clinton speaking during his Colombia trip where he gave his pep talk on the virtues of a US-Colombia Free Trade Agreement.  Having a video could make Pennsylvania winnable for Obama! My assignment to you is FIND IT. (Like Mission Impossible lol!)..............!!!!!!..........

A 50-50 total delegate split is the only way (FL & MI)

Sun Mar 09, 2008 at 04:35:54 PM PDT

  1. Why reward Florida and Michigan for breaking the rules with a re-vote that may change the way the states that did play BY the RULES voted.

  2.  A 50-50 split of all the delegates of Florida and Michigan to Obama and Clinton leaves in place the pledged delegates to date.

  3.  Florida and Michigan get to be seated and part of the convention.

  4. Who says that the outcome of a re-vote wouldn't be just about even anyway--- less all the costs and accusations of "dirty tricks" and stuff that will undoubtedly go on between the candidates.

Poll

Which do you think is the most fair way to decide FL & MI?

Obama or Clinton: This is what happened in TEXAS

Wed Mar 05, 2008 at 09:35:43 AM PDT

Republicans are shameless.  I am a government teacher in a small East Texas town.  I also sponsor the Young Democrats in our school.  I have kids of all races who are so excited about supporting Barack Obama that they went to our local square in town and held up signs yesterday for Obama.

George Will says "Let Them Eat Cake"

Sun Sep 03, 2006 at 09:26:11 AM PDT

The most laughable thing on the Sunday morning talking heads shows was on This Week.   George Will was talking about how great Walmart was for our economy and criticizing the Democrats for talking bad about Walmart's pay policies.  George Will said that a new Walmart opened right outside of Chicago and they had 350 job openings with 25,000 people showing up to apply for the jobs.  "Oh how great our economy is...blah blah" said George.  Immediately I thought 2 things-- just another store for the Chinese workers to stock and the small ma & pa stores locally might as well start making the `Out of Business' signs.

After the show, it hit me square in the eyes--George Will and all Republicans are so out of touch that it reminded me of the sire telling telling the Queen, "but your Majesty the people are starving in the country they have no bread..." and the Queen replies, "well sir, let them eat CAKE!" 25,000 thousand people wanting a low wage job with very few benefits isn't a good sign for Walmart it is a BAD sign of the ECONOMY DUMBASS!!!

The New Pink Song "Dear Mr. President" Rips Bush A New One

Fri Apr 14, 2006 at 10:21:33 AM PDT

I don't know if it has been brought our Kos community's attention, but the new Pink song, "Dear Mr. President"  is the most powerful song ever.  Here are the lyrics.  Someone can link to it.  It definately should get attention.

"Dear Mr. President"
(feat. Indigo Girls)

Dear Mr. President
Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly

Murtha vs. Rumsfeld--Sunday

Sat Nov 19, 2005 at 12:18:58 PM PDT

Just giving the daily kos readers a heads up on tomorrow's Sunday morning talking heads' shows.  Jack Murtha is on MTP exclusively!! What a treat! I hope Russert doesn't try to swift boat him as Rove has instructed all the good little pundits to do.  I have a feeling Rep. Murtha can make Timmy Russert heel like a show dog if he tries.  I sure would enjoy watching that.

Maze-talking Donald "Pharmo" Rumsfeld is going to be on This Week and Face the Nation.  I wonder if he is going to announce the plan to withdraw from Iraq gradually that General Casey submitted to him yesterday or are they going to hunker down and try to SPIN Iraq again. We should go to the websites of This Week and Face the Nation and make suggestions for some specific questions.  You never know maybe one or two good ones could be used. What's your guess for the Rumsfeld talking point??

Freep this poll now!

Thu Nov 10, 2005 at 10:37:48 AM PDT
