NJ Goes Blog

Fri Feb 25, 2005 at 08:40:24 PM PDT

Just thought a few of you would be interested to know that as part of the redesign of their website, the NJ Democratic State Committe added a blog to their website. You can check it out here.

This seems to be a part of a bigger drive to connect the NJDSC with NJ democrats. Already, they've sent out a bunch of emails and stuff to try and communicate with us.

Krugman on the AARP Smear

Pretty good column from Krugman on the activities of GOPUSA and the smear of AARP. He hits most of the points, and I think he's pretty right about the way you'll see the wingnuts take on this challenge. When you can't beat them with facts, bash them with morals. More after the jump.

Our concern about Ms. Rice is not that she makes the president feel comfortable. It's that as national security adviser, she seemed to tell him what he wanted to hear about decisions he'd already made, rather than what he needed to know to make sound judgments in the first place.

That was particularly true when it came to the issue of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Ms. Rice, who appeared so often on the Sunday morning talk shows and even on the campaign trail that she sometimes seemed more like a press secretary than a national security adviser, was the one who told the country that Saddam Hussein was actively pursuing nuclear weapons. And she ominously warned that "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."

Am I the only one worried about where we're headed in this nation? Nothing matters in this administration unless you're a Yes wo/man and will follow the Bush/Cheney/Rummy/Wolfie view of the world tooth and nail.
