Parents, siblings, and other relatives of Missourians with severe disabilities are fighting to stop Governor Matt Blunt from closing and privatizing the state-operated services their loved ones depend on.

We ought to adopt this California resolution at local Democratic party meetings to send a strong message that any elected Democrat who supports Bush's plan will suffer severe consequences from the grassroots

Just replace San Fernando Democrats with the appropriate local Democratic organization.

From today's Star Tribune, an opinion piece by Gov. Pawlenty's former Education commissioner Cheri Yecke claims that the Victoria Secret's TV special can cause sex crimes.  As proof, she cites a fictional character in the musical "Oklahoma!"

Fortunately, the Democratic majority in the State Senate blocked this nut from being confirmed earlier this year.

The stink wafting from Bush-Cheney `04 has a familiar odor.  Paul Krugman has described the Bush regime as radical conservativism.  Others have pointed out its authoritarian characteristics. But could it be the old enemy of the left from the 30s and 40s.  Could it be Fascism in a new guise?
