By nature I am sort of lazy and can be a bit self centered at times. I usually look for the easiest, laziest way of doing things, until you came along.

A group of us in Collier County Florida, are working on trying to research and find out as much as we can about every candidate that will be on the ballot in 2006. This way there will be no guessing or voting on name familiarity.

I have been assigned to research a Circuit Court Judge, and I am not able to find anything about him except his own bio.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on where and how to do free background searches on candidates whether they are running for President, Circuit Court Judge, or Mosquito Control?

This is my first diary, so please be kind.

I've been lurking on blogs for about a year and a half. I've been sort of reluctant to join in on discussions because I am somewhat intimidated. I'm still trying to get comfortable in my new "political skin" I guess.

I have this idea, and in order for it to work, I have to take this risk and ask you to check it out, and give me your opinion, and tell me whether or not you would consider participating.

My idea is to have people from all over the country, contribute video footage to create a documentary that attempts to bridge the gap that is dividing our country.
