Washingtonpost.com is reporting a very fishy looking land swap in Arizona for which John McCain provided pivotal support. Surprisingly—fitting the general McCain trend—he was against it before he was for it. Also in a shock to the senses, the deal involves back scratching, cronyism and the exchange of hella large sums of money.

There comes a time when someone needs to throw up a large block-lettered banner that reads, "WE ARE BEING PLAYED!"

We were played this week when certain Senators from New York and Illinois voted against the ultimate Boom Boom Bucks giveaway and we’re being played by the coy, oh so sincere, "Aw shucks, you mean you want little ole me to run for President!?" bullshit-athon that passes from the once President-Elect’s "non-campaign." I must call unequivocal horse manure on all of them! Yes, all of them! (You heard me Edwards’ supporters...our man the brave Boy Scout who can say whatever he wants because he doesn’t have to vote his "convictions"). They are outright planning, scheming and plotting on how to become netroots hero of the ages and it is to their ultimate shame if anyone is getting bamboozled (h/t Josh Marshall) by this garbage. By "ultimate shame", I mean like the people who voted for Democrats last November feel right now.
