He Was In Our Kitchen (Updated)
Tue Jul 17, 2007 at 03:39:06 AM PDT
I haven't posted much on here, for one reason or another. For a long time, it was timidity. For a longer time, it was my job. For the past several months, it has been a number of projects I have undertaken to further my career. And for the past several weeks, it has been because I had a life-threatening health emergency, a minor (but probably life-saving) surgery, and a lethargic recovery period. However, I have come to regard the people at the other end of These United Internets as something of an extended family... so please allow me to share some thoughts on a very personal matter.
About an hour ago, I chased an intruder from my family's home. The police have come and gone, but there's nobody else to talk to at this hour. And I need to talk. So, please read on.
SiCKO needs you - ACTION ALERT
Fri Jun 29, 2007 at 02:06:25 PM PDT
Hi all,
This is going to be a short diary - my apologies. If you go to the Yahoo! Movies website, you will see that the reviews for SiCKO are becoming somewhat skewed, and that a number of those rated "Most Helpful" are by wingnuts. If you're not familiar with that site, Yahoo! members can create their own reviews and then others can rate the reviews as helpful or unhelpful. Several of the top-rated reviews are negative smears, and this suggests the kind of negative smear we've all seen before against prgressive candidates, films, speakers and books. Please help me counter this by going here, signing in and uprating the good ones - and downrating the bad ones. Oh, and by recommending this diary so more people can see it! (This is the first time I've asked for Rec's.)
A bit more after the jump...
May I Suggest Everyone Get a Grip?
Thu May 24, 2007 at 07:12:57 PM PDT
The hysterics have begun. The Democrats in Congress have folded. They're cowards. They're craven. They're stupid. They're afraid to stand up to the Worst "President" Ever. They've betrayed us, plunged a knife right through our collective heart and into the collective back of the troops. Then they twisted it.
Now, this diary is a bit more rant-ish than I am typically comfortable with (and I'm usually just a comment-leaver, anyway). That being said: May I humbly suggest that everyone get a grip?
Missing e-voting cards, inaccuracies in Ohio
Wed May 03, 2006 at 02:36:11 PM PDT
I don't know if anyone else has picked up on this, but this is from The Plain Dealer (Cleveland). In keeping with Ohio's propensity for flawed, suspicious elections, there are reports of missing e-voting cards and optical scan devices yielding inaccuracies. Link below...
IMPEACH... Next year (with POLL)
Sun Mar 19, 2006 at 03:20:20 PM PDT
George W. Bush must be impeached and removed from office. That much is clear, or at least it should be clear, and if it isn't clear I don't know what it will take to make it clear. His high crimes and misdemeanors are well-documented and are thoroughly discussed here, so I have chosen to focus this (my first) diary on an impeachment strategy that could very well succeed, if the Democratic party can manage to be competent, shrewd, patient and bold all at the same time. A tall order, to be sure, but not impossible. Read on...
