Concerned DOJ Employees Send Anonymous Ltr to Leahy re: MORE Politicizing

Fri Apr 20, 2007 at 11:26:04 AM PDT

This is on the front page of Crooks & Liars and I don't see a diary about it in the most recent diaries list. If this is repetitive, I apologize.

Pelosi's Website, The Gavel, has made public, a letter sent from "A Group of Concerned Department of Justice Employees" about the politicalization non-political positions traditionally held by "career employees."

Army Times et al. To Call for Rumsfeld's Resignation

Fri Nov 03, 2006 at 05:09:16 PM PDT

I can't find thins anywhere on line and I'm sorry this diary is so short. Keith just opened his show by saying

"Breaking News, the editorial board of the Army Times, Navy Times etc. to print an editorial on Monday in which they will call for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's resignation"

I'm so confused...

Nielsen Says Keith O Beats CNN: 1st Time in 5 Yrs

Tue Mar 28, 2006 at 05:23:16 PM PDT

"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" finished the first quarter ahead of CNN's Paula Zahn in the key 25-54 year-old demographic ("the demo"). This marks MSNBC's first quarterly primetime victory over CNN in the demo in almost five years.

Bush Sends Taxpayers Bill for Campaigning: $7 Million in '06

Mon Mar 20, 2006 at 09:57:34 AM PDT

You know how Bush gives non-campaign speeches and makes the audience sign loyalty oaths?  That pisses me off.  Well guess what, because he gets away with that, he decided to take it one step further and charge the taxpayers for his flights to campaign for Republicans in Congress.  Dan Froomkin wonders why no news outlets are covering this. I sure don't.

WH Plan for Victory? Offers $1 Billion to ANYONE to Stabilize Iraq

This is just so sad and pathetic....

Delay Singin' (like a jailbird) Duke's Praises...

Mon Nov 28, 2005 at 05:53:13 PM PDT

Tom Delay & Duke Cunningham are as thick as theives...

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) yesterday [June 14, 2005] defended Rep. Duke Cunningham (R-Calif.) after calls from congressional Democrats to investigate the Republican appropriator for selling his San Diego home to a defense contractor whose firm had received $65 million in federal funds in 2004.

Just In: Judy Miller's Fairwell Column [Update]

Wed Nov 09, 2005 at 07:27:12 PM PDT

On July 6 I chose to go to jail to defend my right as a journalist to protect a confidential source, the same right that enables lawyers to grant confidentiality to their clients, clergy to their parishioners, and physicians and psychotherapists to their patients.

J. Dean 10/21No Indictments 11/04--More to Come

Fri Nov 04, 2005 at 06:10:22 PM PDT

John Dean predicted, much to my dismay, that no one would be indicted.  However, this week he has done a 180.

In his introduction he asserts that:

Having read the indictment against Libby, I am inclined to believe more will be issued. In fact, I will be stunned if no one else is indicted...the person who should be tossing and turning at night...is the Vice President of the United States, Richard B. Cheney

There's more...

JUST RELEASED: Ltr from Bill Keller to NYT Staff: Trys to COME CLEAN re: J. Miller.

Fri Oct 21, 2005 at 03:31:25 PM PDT

A Message from Bill Keller:
Colleagues,

As you can imagine, I've done a lot of thinking -- and a lot of listening -- on the subject of what I should have done differently in handling our reporter's entanglement in the White House leak investigation. Jill and John and I have talked a great deal among ourselves and with many of you, and while this is a discussion that will continue, we thought it would be worth taking a first cut at the lessons we have learned.

Fed. Gov't Drops Suit-CNN Can Photograph the Dead

Sat Sep 10, 2005 at 02:30:43 PM PDT

Remember when those contractors were torched and hung from a bridge in Iraq?? That photograph was all over the place.  On the front of every newspaper, above the fold.  On the 24 hour news networks.  It was a horrific picture and I did my best to avoid looking directly at it.  However, the media has the right to print it.  Interestingly, the federal government had no problem with displaying those dead Americans.

Halliburton Building $30M Prison at Guantanamo

Sat Jun 18, 2005 at 07:45:29 PM PDT

They work hard for the money.  So hard for the money.  I'm not talking about that waitress in the 80s video, I'm talking about the people hired to do PR for Halliburton.  Why do they keep doing stuff like this?  Why don't they wait until all this Guantanamo crap has died down?  Its about as smart as committing murder when Jessica Fletcher is in town.  Enough already!!

Jeb Bush and White House don't want Katherine Harris to Run

Fri Jun 17, 2005 at 03:31:58 PM PDT

Looks like we aren't the only one's who don't want Katherine Harris to run.  Harris is learning that even when you get your employer's brother in the White House you are not guaranteed life long devotion.  I thought crime families were supposed to be loyal.  Someone needs to tell the Bushes.

Update: I spelled "Schaivo" wrong in my searches. This has been diaried to death sorry!! Terri Scha

Wed Jun 15, 2005 at 09:09:27 PM PDT

I searched this topic and didn't find it in "stories or diaries."  I apologize if this is repetitive.

Remember how obsessed the media was with this story?? Amazing how the entire country was so fixated on this issue at the time but now that the scientific evidence is released, there are not nearly as many stories in the MSM as there were during the "Schaivo Marathon."

Jeb Bush Blocks 13-yr. old's Access to Abortion [Update]

Thu Apr 28, 2005 at 01:56:40 PM PDT

Here we go again...

The plight of a 13-year-old Palm Beach County foster child, who is pregnant and wants an abortion, is pitting children's advocates against Florida's child welfare agency, which has custody of the girl and has asked a judge to forbid her from ending her 13-week pregnancy.

Dobson's Focus on Family Recently Supported Filibuster [Update]

Tue Apr 26, 2005 at 10:05:32 AM PDT

Keith Oblermann of Countdown (the only valid cable news program) showed us again that he is not a GOP Whore last night.  He had a unique focus regarding the history of the filibuster.  Apparently the same Focus on the Family who railed against the filibuster on Justice Sunday strongly supported it in 1993 when used against appointees who were openly gay.

FUCK YOU LIBERALS-George W's Diary...

Fri Apr 15, 2005 at 09:26:06 PM PDT

Hello all you "Blue Staters"  I was surfing the internets to find a website where I can download music for my ipod (legally of course) and I came across this Blog (is that what its called??)
Anyway, I decided to post a Diary--I actually just transcribed the latest entry from the President's (that's me--I like talking in third person) diary that I keep at my bedside, right next to my Bible...

Fuck you liberals, I'm appointing Condi Rice as Secretary of State.

Fuck you liberals, I'm pushing Colin Powell out of the State Dept. but keeping Rumsfeld because I can't admit I made a mistake.

Fuck you liberals, I'm appointing John Bolton to head the U.N.

Don't worry there's plenty more...
