This diary will not be SHOCKING, CRITICAL, or BREAKING but I appreciate you taking a look anyway. (It's my first) I'm looking for help from the Daily Kos community on a project I'm doing with my kids.

I think being able to be a critical thinker is one of the most important skills people can have for meanigful survival.  I have come to realize that the schools are not going to be teaching a lot of critical thought any time soon.  I'm not blaming the schools or teachers beacause I realize that they are under enormous pressure to make sure kids pass the high-stakes standardized test and that leaves very little time for much else.  As much as I don't blame the teachers I don't want to sit back and have my children become unthinking drones who are not smart enough to question authority.(Britney Sprears)
