21 Best Cable Shows
Tue Jan 23, 2007 at 04:30:40 PM PDT
I think we're all looking for a good reason to avoid tonight's State of The Union address by The Great Leader. With so many options out there, to include: eating many chicken wings, smoking, drinking, excercise, chasing the other sex, running from the other sex, reading the personal ads, inventing lies to use in personal ads (see Bush), or just hanging out watching TV. Most of us will probably pick the TV option.
Gov Richardson Is A Dick

Pardon my french, I usually try to keep it civil. But today, after reading yet another article attacking DNC Chair Howard Dean, I ran across the expected:
Top Ten Worst Cable Networks

I'm sure this topic has been touched on before in the great history of the Daily Kos. But, with spring coming up, and with several months of heavy indoor time spent watching cable, I feel like an expert on the topic and want to share my mindless research with all of you.
Correcting Rumsfeld Speak
Sun Mar 20, 2005 at 07:10:36 PM PDT
Rumsfeld is back at, going on about how his plan to cut thousands of uniform military jobs and making them civilian positions is going to save the military. He claims, as always (he's been saying the same thing, minus the 9/11 hook, since the early 1990's) that freeing those troops, all of whom just can't wait to hunt down whatever evil strawman Bush says will cure our manpower problems.
How Did Your Family Vote? (Time Killer)
Wed Feb 02, 2005 at 06:11:34 PM PDT
Here's a time killer during the SOTU.
In your family, only counting parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles and first cousins, how many voted for Kerry, Bush, Other or didn't vote? For extra credit, count the states they live in.
My results were as follows:
Bush 3
Kerry 23
Not Voting 3
States: 8
Did you call any of your relatives to see or ask if they were voting?
I admit it, I did.
1400
Wed Jan 19, 2005 at 03:43:33 PM PDT
If your in Washington Thursday for the Great Leaders re-up ceremony, it must not pass without recognizing the nearly 1400 Americans military personnel KIA in Iraq. Regardless of what the war means, their sacrafices must be remembered.
I'm encouraging all folks in town so inclined to gather and chant '1400' all day, wherever your gathered.
Doing so will remind all out there that it will soon be time to recognize that 1400 KIAs in Iraq shall not pass without all Americans knowing about it.
As I sit here in Washington, watching the GOP Fireworks on the Mall ceremony from my apartment, you can bet none of those folks are thinking '1400'.
It's time they got a wake up call.
Just win, baby...
