Michael Philip Jagger was born in Dartford, Kent on 26th July 1943. When he was 4 he met Keith Richards until they went into secondary schools and lost touch. But one day in 1960 they accidentally met on the Dartford train line and both realised that they had an interest in rock n roll combined with blues. Between 1960-1962 The Rolling Stones formed. It comprised of Mick on lead vocal and harmonica, Keith Richards on guitar, Bill Wyman on bass, Charlie Watts on drums and Brian Jones on guitar. Link

Obamabots swarmed and took control of this place months ago. They raptured Obama into dominance at dkos and at the polls. They overwhelmed Edwards, the only candidate promoting progressive policies, and Hillary Clinton, whose positions were more identical to Obama's than not, right off this site and the political map.
Obamabots are those supporters who believe that Obama can do no wrong. They accuse anyone who says otherwise of being a " purity troll", and they are certain that any acknowledgement of Obama's errors/faults will put McBush in the WH. Let me be clear. I am not saying that all Obama supporters are Obamabots. In fact, most Obama supporters know he isn't perfect and that he needs voter feedback, both positive and critical, if he is going to get and keep the support he needs to win this election.
Well my crystal ball says that the crystal ball of hyper Obama supporters is totally wrong. From his lips to your ears below the fold.
If you are familiar with OpenLeft, you are familiar with Chris Bowers, Mike Lux, Matt Stoller, Paul Rosenberg and adamterando. You know that it is a great blog to read, and that it provides many ways for people to help change the way politics are played.
Whether you want to help Obama and the Democrats win or you are just plain sick and tired of the way politics are played, I would like to tell you why I think you need to go over there and check this out.
What would you like to say to Steny Hoyer? by: Matt Stoller

(I'm going to send this when it hits 50 comments. - promoted by Matt Stoller)
I was writing an email to Steny Hoyer's Chief of Staff to try to let him know how much rage there is out there about his boss's actions around capitulating on the FISA issue, but I realized that my words are probably less powerful than yours. I'm just one person, so he has no reason to believe me except as someone engaged in hyperbole around a contentious issue.
Since trade is such a huge deal to me and to 99.99% of Michigan, it caused me some concern. So, I sent an e-mail off to the Barack Obama website assuming it would fall off into a big black hole just like other campaigns and websites I have contacted.
To my utter amazement, I got the following response from my friend, Barack Obama.
In Detroit, a festive crowd that was racially and generationally mixed started lining up outside Joe Louis Arena at midday.
Sen. Barack Obama brought his historic campaign to ground zero of the Rust Belt on Monday, asking 20,000 supporters at a raucous rally at Joe Louis Arena -- where he was endorsed by Al Gore -- to join him in his crusade of hope and faith.
The lobbying firm of McCain campaign manager Rick Davis acted in direct opposition to American foreign interests, which prompted a warning to McCain's Senate office from the United States government, according to a recent New York Times article.
Much has been reported about Rick Davis, top McCain adviser and lobbyist whose company, Davis Manafort, made its fortune in part by accepting jobs that didn't require employees to register as lobbyists. Davis has been in particular hot water for his company's work with pro-Russian Ukranian political candidates; Davis arranged for one of Putin's allies to meet with McCain during the time.
However, the New York Times has managed to take that already embarrassing story and make it even worse:
From January 2001 to April 2008, only 3.8 million private-sector jobs -- all accounted for by private health care bureaucracies, bars and restaurants.
Manufacturing lost - 3.5 million jobs; more than 1- in -5 Manufacturing jobs were lost in the last 7 ¼ yrs.
Over the period:
* Textile Mills lost -57.2% of their jobs;
* Apparel manufacturers lost -56.8% of their jobs;
* Communications Equipment manufacturers lost -46.9% of their jobs;
* Semiconductor and Electronics Components manufacturers lost -40.4% of their jobs;
* Computer and Peripheral Equipment manufacturers lost - 38.9% of their jobs;
* Telecommunications service providers lost -30.0% of their jobs;
But Edwards immediately sought to quell rumors he was angling for the No. 2 spot, telling an interviewer shortly after his endorsement announced that it "Won't happen.... It's just not something I am interested in."
But he has been more coy about serving for Obama in other ways, specifically as his attorney general.
I was exchanging pleasantries with Granny Doc in her diary about religion, god, and the controversial Rev. Wright. Given Granny Doc's enthusiasm for his speech, I decided to take a look see at how Detroit was responding to the good Rev. Wright's appearance at the NAACP dinner at Cobo Hall.
Since the Detroit News is one of the largest papers in town (and one of the most Republican), I couldn't believe how positive and supportive their article was.
I am a voter made to order for a John Edwards candidacy. I am angry that impeachment is off the table, relegating justice only to the common man. I am angry that politicians, Democrats in particular, are elitist commodities being bought and sold by the "have mores". I am angry that they looted our treasure and drove our children and grandchildren into debt. I am angry that globalization and corporate profits are more important than the environment, people, jobs, and health care; and I am angry that this country tortures and sold out the constitution.
John Edwards expressed the anger I feel towards what is supposed to be our Democratic Party. My road from John Edwards to Obama was a long one and unwinds below the fold.
I routinely have access to jobs for IT, Engineers and other professionals.
These jobs are full-time, permanent positions (not with a staffing company) in MI. There are no fees charged to the job applicant or employer for this service. Information and applications can be accessed on-line.
Apparently, the last professional did leave MI and forgot to turn out the lights. I would think the scarcity of high skilled labor left in this state, combined with really affordable housing and a lower cost of living, might be really attractive to someone out there.
If anyone has any suggestions on where to post and recruit the many, many jobs we keep getting and are expected to fill, please let me know. We, of course, have tried all of the traditional routes: ads, colleges, training schools, networking with everyone in the world, etc.
Information and links to the jobs are below the fold.
For being a unity candidate, he sure is slicing and dicing up America.
Hillary Clinton does not respect our people," the ad says in Spanish (original and Clinton campaign translation after the jump), referring to the lawsuit that failed today to shut down special caucus sites on Las Vegas' strip.
Sen. Obama is defending our right to vote. Sen. Obama wants our votes. He respects our votes, our community, and our people. Sen. Obama's campaign slogan is 'Si Se Puede.' Vote for a president who respects us, and who respects our right to vote," the ad says, according to a transcript provided by the Clinton campaign and confirmed in part by a union official.
It calls Senator Clinton "shameless" and says the fact that her allies were fighting to stop voters from being able to participate in caucus sites at casinos on the Las Vegas strip was "unforgiveable".
This diary is intended to highlight some the differences between Iowa and New Hampshire and Ohio and Michigan. These differences should illustrate why these two states are not representative of the US let alone regions within the US.
One can shake hands till the cows come home, but the value of retail politics is overrated when there is a mismatch and a disconnect to the voters in the rest of the country. I don't want to have a beer with the nominee, and I don't want Republicans picking our Democratic candidate.
Disclosure: I am an eclectic Independent supporting Edwards.
Although race, religion, and age are a part of this diary, they are extraneous to the topic. The focus of this diary is unity and trust. If you run as a uniter, shouldn't you have to act like one?
Disclosure: I support John Edwards, Bernie Sanders, Howard Dean, and Russ Feingold for President.
Warning: This diary has been rated R and may contain ICB (Insensitive Candidate Bashing) or IFLICB (It Feels Like Insensitive Candidate Bashing). Reading this article backwards may channel Hillary.
