Republicans are looking for "their" John McCain. The popular Arizona maverick is already a Republican, of course. But the GOP needs a McCain in the "Keating Five" sense. Back in 1990, Senate Democrats roped McCain into the scandal over savings and loan kingpin Charles Keating on tenuous grounds, just so not all the senators involved would be Democrats.

Don't you think we should throw "It's the Republican's, stupid", right back at them?

With the Republican's luxury liner taking on water, this is no time to hand them a bucket. Instead, we need to keep them from bailing. Mike Coleman (mayor of Columbus) is running for Governor of Ohio.

He's a terrific guy and would make a wonderful Governor (and he's a
rock-solid Clark supporter).  Please take a few minutes and vote for
him in an online poll in one of the local papers in Ohio.  We all know
how much a good Governor could help (particularly in OHIO).
