The Guardian has a piece on
how non-Americans can have a say in the US election. They are running a system to allow people in the UK to send personal letters to voters in one Ohio county. They also offer advice on legal donations that would help (they suggest NAACP or the Christian Coalition depending on who you support).

Check out
this story in the Guardian.
"The main British combat force in Iraq, about 5,000-strong, will be reduced by around a third by the end of October during a routine rotation of units."
There are fewer and fewer among those "willing" to die for Bush and Allawi...

ridiculous font sizes
Mon Aug 16, 2004 at 04:46:28 AM PDT
Aaarrrggh. Why has the story font size been reduced even further? Now instead of having to hit Alt-plus twice whenever I visit Kos (and Alt-minus twice when I leave), I have to do it
three times.
Can we please have the default font option in Display Preferences fixed?
Danny.

an Australian thinking about Iowa

I just want you guys to pick someone, rally behind them, and make the world a safer place for humanity by evicting Bush from the presidency. We'll be having an election here in Australia around the same time, but, much as I hate John Howard, I don't think he's a threat to the future of the species.

it's a plot to make us go blind

Scoop seems to be working fine on this site, but I can't change the font size in my display preferences! Is it a plot to make us all (or all of us with large high-res monitors) go blind staring at invisibly small text?
