Naomi Wolf thinks so. Do you?

Why America should relax and learn to love the round ball.
Football is a sport for the masses. Contrast lacrosse.
The underdog can win.
America can win.
America is good now.
People do not hate and/or fear America in this arena.
There is not that much drug abuse.
You can feel morally and spiritually superior to countries after you beat them.
You can shout really abusive things about countries you don't like and not get trolled.
More on the flip or as we say in roundball "on the volley".
Slogans please everybody. Time to begin.

We need slogans. We need wit. We need hyperbole ready made. We need mud. We shit ready to throw at the fan if the media ever turn it on. The rules of the game have shifted so far into Banana Republic territory that the only way for us to get the power back is to go back to the start. Talk about things say them three times and remind people that they matter.
Example "the Democrats are soft on terrorists"
Response(we need one) A fucking good one this time.
Twas ever thus

We expect too much from America.
We expect America to do things no other country would be expected to do.
No superpower has ever acted in anyones' interest but its own.
That America has acted the way it does should surprise nobody.
With its hodge podge of genius and madness we became quickly smitten. It has captivated us since, I suppose, the Second World War. It was the beacon to the rest of us. Rightly or wrongly people saw America as the good. Western Europeans certainly, we were guiltier than most. America had saved us one way or another and the more honest of us acknowledged this.
