Republican free trade VS Democratic free trade
July 02, 2008
Sean Lewis
Democratic free trade is
The foreign country opens it borders for US goods,
and the US opens it borders to foreign goods.
That is it, that is free trade.
Republican free trade is
The foreign country opens it borders to BOTH
US companies and the ability to exchange goods.
However, this is the problem. Republicans believe
US companies should be able to open plants in the
foreign country to exploit the cheaper labor, create
goods at low costs and then sell those products in
the US market at greater earnings to the US Corps.
Fix the Economy End Bush's Tax Cuts to the Rich
Wed Jun 25, 2008 at 03:35:53 PM PDT
Why the Bush Tax Cuts to the Rich
need to be rescinded and the Middle
Class need tax equality.
June 25, 2008
A Sean Lewis Rant!
Ending the tax cuts to the rich will lower the debt, which will strengthen the US dollar, which will mean oil will cost less, which means inflation will go down, which means core inflation including food and fuel will diminish, which means the economy will become stronger because US workers will be able to afford to buy discretionary products, which will employ other Americans who will now have jobs so they will not lose their homes which means the housing market will stabilize, which means banks will be more solvent, which means money will once again become liquid which means loans for investments will once again become available which means industry will grow which means increasing GDP growth and more jobs.
We Are Americans FIRST!
Tue Jun 03, 2008 at 07:57:46 PM PDT
We are Americans first. Not black or white, conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat. We are Americans first. Until this fact is understood we will be a nation divided and ineffective. We need to forget our differences and stop blaming each other for the errors of the past. We need to be non partisan about the future of this country. Our greatest enemy is from within. We have turned upon each other. . We need to change our old way of business as usual and be united for the common good. Which is, we are all Americans first.

Trapped In Iraq
Wed May 21, 2008 at 02:33:35 PM PDT
America is fucked if we stay in Iraq.
and America is fucked if we try to leave.
Thank you George Bush for giving
America no safe way out of Iraq.
and now John McCain is
offering America
more of the same!

Why don't I FEEL safer?

May 16, 2008
If Bin Laden was dead
I would feel safer.
If Iraq had WMD's
I would feel safer.
If we weren't still at war in Afghanistan
I would feel safer.
If we weren't trapped in Iraq,
I would feel safer.
If we knew who was behind the Anthrax Attacks
I would feel safer.
If the Bush Administration wasn't so inept during 9/11, Post Iraq war, and Katrina
I would feel safer.
If the Republican party had not been about consolidating power and rewarding constituents,
I would feel safer.
If Bush had simply done what was in the best interest of ALL Americans,
We ALL would have been safe.
Democrats are eating their own!
Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 10:37:34 PM PDT
If the Democrats continue this cannibalistic behavior, They will LOOSE THE ELECTION! If this happens, it will be the Democrat party, NOT the Republican party that will become extinct after the 2008 election!
The Best Candidate for the Democrats may not be the best Candidate for President.

The Best Candidate for the Democrats
may not be the best Candidate for President.
Sean Lewis
February 12, 2008
Let me explain.
The Republicans are demoralized and unmotivated.
The Conservatives and the Religious Right have been
abandoned by main stream America. The blowback
to the Republican Party was extreme in the 2006 elections.
This was because of the short sighted extreme ideological
policies and agenda's of the Bush Administration and Republican Congress
which divided America and has crippled the
US economically, politically, militarily and has damaged America's Preeminence in the world.
The litany of failures is long and is a testament of
the incompetence, unaccountability and irresponsible
leadership of the Bush Administration.
The Democrats should be able to solidify complete
and absolute control of Congress and also win
the executive office in the next election, IF the correct
candidate runs.
Child Tax Rebate is the quickest way to stimulate the economy. With Poll
Thu Jan 17, 2008 at 02:00:04 PM PDT
The facts:
People living paycheck to paycheck will
spend the additional money immediately.
Low income individuals will buy items that
help the local economy. Food, clothing
household items and appliances.
A dollar spent in the local economy
will have a ripple effect on 7 additional
individuals and merchants.
The mechanism to do this already
exists and will be easy to repeat.
The effect of this is also on the record
by the results of GDP growth in 2003
for the third quarter of almost 9%.
The Child Tax Rebate Checks began
going out July 25, 2003. The Checks
of $400 went to 25 Million TAXPAYERS.
This is an INVESTMENT of $10 Billion
to gain $297 Billion of potential new growth.
(9% quarterly growth on 2006 GDP)
http://siteresources.worldbank.org/...
It is quick.
It is effective.
It has been proven.
It will be temporary.
More importantly, this tax rebate will actually pay for itself.
The Bush leadership, all hat and no cattle
Tue Nov 13, 2007 at 10:48:45 AM PDT
The Bush leadership, all hat and no cattle
Bush is all about the show and not about substance.
Using food for fuel
gave the impression of being a solution
but was a very bad idea causing high core food price inflation.
The solution became a bigger problem and oil is up to almost $100
The Surge Lite.
Gives the impression of progress
But will evaporate with troop rotations and will once again
leave Iraq with too few troops to get the job done. The insurgents
knew all they had to do was wait for the troops to leave.
The Republicans did a cut and run and never knew it.
Bush needed to go all in with a draft and do the job CORRECT!
All Bush has done is 'kicked the can down the road' to the
next President to come up with a REAL SOLUTION!
More to come.....
Merrill Lynch $7.9 Billion Write-Off = $7.9 Billion of HOME FORECLOSURES!!!
Tue Nov 06, 2007 at 12:35:15 PM PDT
Merrill Lynch $7.9 Billion Write-Off = $7.9 Billion of HOME
FORECLOSURES!!!
So if ONE company has lost this much money due to
Homeowners unable to make their mortgage payments
please explain to me Bush Supporters this, HOW is Bush's
Economic plan doing well?
I guess those tax cuts to the RICH, are NOT helping Middle Class Home Owners.
Unpleasant Political Realities: Is the Surge working or is it an illusion?

Unpleasant Political Realities: The Surge IS working. (original title)
The Surge IS working, however the Surge is an illusion. For the Surge
to be real, the draft must return. Currently because of extended tours
and early recalls, there are enough troops to facilitate the Surge.
However, once troop rotations begin the Surge will evaporate.
The Result of the Libby trial verdict.
Tue Mar 06, 2007 at 10:15:03 AM PDT
If Libby gets an appeal to retry the case, then Fitzgerald will get another bite at the apple AND be able to CONTINUE the investigation into the Plame lie Case. Also NOW the Wilson's can file CIVIL charges against Libby and the White House for personal damages!
Also, the World now knows that the White House LIED about who knew what and when and protected a treasonous act by as Libby's Lawyer said, someone else higher up! It was either Cheney or Rove. Either way it paints the white House as unethical and corrupt and the final assessment of the damage done by the rolling up of spy networks in Iran may never be known because it is classified.
Remember this investigation was started by the CIA, because of the damage the leak caused!
Also now the Wilson's can now sue in Civil court and any NEW information can restart the Federal investigation.
No matter how you look at it, this is a bad day for the White House. Now it is a race to see if Bush will pardon BEFORE Libby has to serve his jail time. Unless Libby talks to reduce his sentence?
Merry Fitzmas!
How to get Bush Not to fund the Iraq War
Tue Feb 20, 2007 at 06:49:13 AM PDT
How to get Bush Not to fund the Iraq War
With poll
It is very simple.
The argument is about being fiscally responsible. In every other war Americans sacrificed for the troops and the war effort.
The Iraq war is costing more than the Bush White house estimated.
If Bush wants to increase the troop levels and continued US presence in Iraq then Bush must expect ALL Americans to sacrifice for the Troops and America's common good. This is called shared sacrifice.
The way to do that is to either let the tax cuts sunset to pay for the war effort or simply rescind them now.
Every American understands it is their patriotic duty to support the troops. Who would disagree?
Sunset the tax cuts, Support the troops.
Tue Feb 06, 2007 at 08:09:19 AM PDT
It is time to REALLY support the troops. If the Bush Republicans are not going to enlist to support the Bush war, then the least they can do is PAY for it.
Bush keeps talking about making sure the troops have what they need. I agree. To make sure that there is ENOUGH money to GIVE the troops what they need, it is time to RAISE the money to do this. It is time to allow the tax cuts to sunset in order to raise this money. It is the Patriotic thing to do. Pay for the war effort.
It is unfair to ask Working Americans to loose social benefits to pay for the Bush Deficit while the Paris Hilton's get to keep their tax cuts, and America's Civilian Soldiers (the National Guard) see their families go on welfare and face foreclosures because of inadequate pay and continued redeployments. These men are NOT regular military yet Bush, who is unwilling to admit the military is short handed; is using these men as a stop gap for this shortage. Too few people are bearing America's burden for Bush's war of choice.
It is time to fairly spread the burden!
Fiscal responsibility means you pay for wars with taxes.
Mon Feb 05, 2007 at 11:28:55 AM PDT
First, can anyone explain to me how Bush got this country in it's current state of $100's of Billion deficits? I mean we had a budget surplus at the beginning of the Bush Administration. Now Bush is talking about cutting the record budget deficits in half? The Debt payment is now 6% of GDP the highest it has ever been! GDP is NOT tax Revenues. In Fact GDP includes Government spending which under Bush and The Republicans are up $1 Trillion, NOT including the OFF-BUDGET spending of the wars!
With Poll:
Do you think the tax cuts should sunset to pay for the Iraq war?
I am for the Iraq troop increase, HOWEVER there are conditions.
Sun Jan 21, 2007 at 12:06:42 PM PDT
I am for the Iraq troop increase, HOWEVER there are conditions.
First 20,000 additional troops are a START, but the actual number needs to be much HIGHER!
Second, the surge must be maintained for at least 2 years. If not it is a waste of lives, treasury and political credibility. The only way to do this is to also re-instate the draft.
Three, this is only a PART of a bigger plan of a comprehensive exchange of power and eventual US troop withdrawal.
Bush needs to include a political plan to stop the civil war and bring the surrounding Nations into the mix to end the violence.
The borders between Syria and Iran need to be closed. Other Middle east and Muslim nations need to be involved in the political peace plan and troop deployment in peace keeping missions within Iraq.
If Bush does not also include these solutions, then the only alternative is to bring the troops home and stop this insanity.
If you earned less than $100,000 your tax cut was $158.61.
Thu Nov 02, 2006 at 07:52:22 AM PDT
If you earned less than $100,000 your share of the tax cut was $158.61 on Average.
If you earned more than $100,000, your share of the tax cut was $4,754.57 on Average.
So if you earn over $100,000 a year, you should vote republican.
If you are earning less than $100,000 a year and vote Republican, you should ask yourself WHY? For $158.61? The increase in gas wiped that out in a week.
If you do not believe me, do the math yourself. Here are my calculations...
I am going to break this down for everyone based on the ADMINISTRATIONS numbers....
Silence from the Bush apologists to Anti Bush Anti Iraq critism and solutions. W/Poll
Sun Jun 25, 2006 at 11:16:33 AM PDT
I think Bush apologists do not have a clue about what most of the Anti Bush, anti Iraq war opponents believe. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, Bin Laden or the Taliban. We had no business invading Iraq, Bush was wrong on all fronts of the Iraq war.
The problem is that now we are in Iraq and have broken it, it is time to fix it. I am not preaching cut and run, I am preaching if we are going to fight this then fight it the correct way and not on the cheap.
