There's no good way to spin this one. This is fatal to her campaign, and we can cross her off the list. In that part of Ohio, we now need to focus our efforts on OH-01 and OH-15.

SHILL TO HACK
CELEBRATED LIB STRATEGIST HAS SHADY MARKET PAST
By RODDY BOYD
June 18, 2006 -- Jerome Armstrong, the political strategist who followed a famous Internet fundraising effort for Howard Dean in 2004 with a book on "people-powered politics," has a sordid past as a shill for a worthless dot-com stock.
Armstrong, 42, touted a dubious Chinese software company, BluePoint, beginning in 1999, without disclosing that he accepted "below-market" shares in exchange for the glowing reports he posted on a site called Raging Bull, according to a 2003 civil suit that named him as a defendant.
Rahm Emanuel as House Dem Leader?
Sat Jun 03, 2006 at 08:19:31 AM PDT
In his
column for this weekend, Robert Novak says that unless the Democrats retake the house this fall that Nancy Pelosi will be replaced as House Democratic Leader. In other words, Pelosi will either become Speaker or she'll be out; she won't be Minority Leader again. His prediction: if that happens, Rep. Rahn Emanuel (D-IL), a former Clinton White House aide, will be the new Minority Leader.
Talk is increasing among House Democrats that if they fail to regain control after 12 years of a Republican majority, Rep. Nancy Pelosi should be replaced as the party's leader in the House.
If Democrats recapture the House, Pelosi surely will be the first female speaker in the nation's history. But Republican strategists are posing that possibility as a reason for voting Republican, and she will be widely blamed as a San Francisco liberal if there is a Democratic failure in November. Pelosi's colleagues complain about her public performances, especially on NBC's "Meet the Press" May 7.
