I had just finished reading mcjoan's and Kagro X's accounts of the FISA capitulation in the House, when I got an email from Nancy Pelosi asking if I'd seen the latest fundraising email from Barack Obama.  After the steam blew out my ears, I wrote the following email ...

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

First things first.  People are saying that you are somehow compromised by up-to-now secret compliance with warrentless wiretapping by the Bush regime.  And that that has lead to your lack of leadership on the "Protect AT&T" Bill (FISA).  Any comment?

I consider it the penultimate failing of your Speakership that this FISA bill has passed the House.  It is an assault on our Constitution as it condones and rewards breaking the laws of our land, by a rogue "unitary executive".  How could you permit this to happen?
