American Security Project Report Finds the U.S. is Not Winning the War on Terror
Wed Sep 05, 2007 at 03:44:39 PM PDT
Just got a press release from a new organization called American Security Project or ASP. They released a report today, that should shock none of us, that America is not winning the war on terror.
The Entire 2008 Field Represents the Past
Sun Apr 29, 2007 at 09:42:11 AM PDT
The entire current 2008 field of Democrats represents the past. We need the likes of Wes Clark, Joe Sestak, and Jim Webb to be the future.
Hey, guys, sorry...
Mon Mar 05, 2007 at 03:44:06 PM PDT
Got a little carried away with my rant. The rant itself, actually, I don't think was so bad, but my reaction to commenters who disagreed with me was out of line.
Gen. Wesley Clark Weighs Presidential Bid: "I Think About It Everyday"
Fri Mar 02, 2007 at 10:41:51 AM PDT
The Amy Goodman interview of General Clark from Tuesday night at the 92st Y in NYC is now available on Democracy Now!

Democracy Now! chose the title Gen. Wesley Clark Weighs Presidential Bid: "I Think About It Everyday", which is interesting. There's so much more in this interview, though.
We MUST be a full-service party
Wed Feb 14, 2007 at 07:30:32 AM PDT
Were we right! Invading Iraq was WRONG. We knew it. Now the American public knows it. It's tempting to go back to being good old-fashioned domestically-focussed Democrats again, disdaining all that talk about military and guns. It's neanderthal; it's beneath us. We're on a higher plane. It's tempting to throw out all the "new" and go back to what we were. After all, we were right! Let's just pick out some good old-fashioned Democrats, talk about a domestic agenda, and get back to where we were before this misadventure.
Wesley Clark In Context
Thu Feb 08, 2007 at 04:46:05 PM PDT
It seems that each time a diary is posted about General Clark, the same old out-of-context criticisms of him surface, trying to "prove" that he isn't/wasn't really against the Iraq War. For a ton of evidence that Wes was always against the Iraq War, see this diary. The goal of this diary is to put the out-of-context criticisms back into their original context, which, strangely enough, has been left out of most of the Wes-Clark-was-really-for-the-war "proofs."
Wes Clark and Iraq
Thu Dec 07, 2006 at 04:08:52 PM PDT
Earlier, I did a diary entry on Wes Clark and the Issues. That diary was in response to the fact that some Kossacks were unaware that Wes had a whole suite of position papers online from 2004 and they're still available at: http://www.clark04.com/... I focused that diary on just a few issues, ones that I thought people knew the least about Wes's positions. From the comments, it seems like I should do a diary on Wes's stance on Iraq. I've gotten some help from some fellow Clarkies (most extensively from Tom Rinaldo and northWESterly) on how to organize this, so they'll be around to talk about it too.
Wes Clark and the Issues
Sat Nov 25, 2006 at 10:39:08 AM PDT
We Clarkies have taken some heat lately for publishing "gushing" diaries instead of holding Wes's feet to the fire on the issues. So, I'm posting this diary as an opportunity for all of us to talk about Wes on the issues. To get us started, I'm going to post a bunch of his stuff from the 2004 campaign.

NY-29: Hello from Massa Headquarters
Tue Nov 07, 2006 at 02:37:34 AM PDT
Hopefully the day will go better than it started... Internet connection wouldn't work from the hotel, the drain wouldn't work in the bathroom, and the bizarrest thing happened with the alarm clock.

Greetings from NY-29, Massa Campaign HQ Pittsford

Hi, there. Don't know if you guys will find this interesting--or just another story of someone working in a campaign office.
I live in Joe Sestak's district outside Philadelphia but I met Eric Massa over a year ago while I was stalking Wes Clark. I've been super-involved in Eric's campaign ever since. This is about my 6th trip up to the district. (Incidentally, Joe was disappointed that I was leaving PA-07 to work up here, but he understood.)
NY 29 - HELP Massa counter RNCC Attack Ads (with video)
Wed Nov 01, 2006 at 10:27:24 AM PDT
This week, the DCCC sent out a mass email saying that no Democrat was going to lose a race due to a lack of funding. But Eric Massa could be in danger because the RNCC is running an attack ad against him, but the DCCC is not countering it. Watch the ad here:

PA-07: Fine for Slime!!! Take the Pledge
Mon Oct 09, 2006 at 03:51:28 PM PDT
http://www.runwesrun.org/...
I'm pledging $10 to the Joe Sestak campaign for every piece of spit I receive in my mailbox from the RNCC or the Weldon campaign. I'm also pledging $10 to Patrick Murphy's campaign for every piece of spit a friend of mine receives from the RNCC or Fitzpatrick's campaign. I consider this a fine to the Weldon and Fitzpatrick campaigns, because every $10 extra that Joe or Patrick gets is $10 more that Weldon, Fitzpatrick, or the RNCC has to spend. Please join me in this endeavor!
PA-07: My Pledge to Joe Sestak
Sun Oct 08, 2006 at 06:27:10 PM PDT
So... yesterday piece of shit #4 from Weldon or the RNCC arrived in my mailbox. I'm a registered NP (non-partisan) so apparently, that means I get more than my fair share of this crap.
So, here's my pledge: For every piece of crap I get in the mail from the RNCC or the Weldon campaign, I will give $10 to Sestak. (If Weldon wants to send positive literature about himself, that's OK. But I'm "fining" the Weldon campaign $10 for every piece of negative literature I get about Sestak.)
I will make the same pledge for Patrick Murphy if someone from his district will help me keep track of the crap they're getting.
