A very senior member of Hillary Clinton's inner circle was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice in the late 1990s, with the case finally settling for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Following up on FishOutOfWater's excellent diary today, I want to add another group to the list that will abandon her in droves in November, should she win the nomination via superdelegate coup:

Teh Gays.

Yup.

We won't.

Today John McCain made what may be the equivalent of Gerald Ford's fatal 1976 foreign policy blunder.

McCain said it was "common knowledge and has been reported in the media that al-Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran, that's well known. And it's unfortunate."

Due to his startingly prescient predictions about the Iraq War, Bill Kristol was given the cherry job of columnist for the New York Times.

Today he excretes one about Obama, and Kristol doesn't even trouble with the race-baiting code anymore.  He says it outright:  Obama is an uppity negro hustler who hates America.

Satender Singh

On July 5, 2007, Satender Singh, an openly gay Fiji immigrant, died in Sacramento, California of head trauma after being punched following a verbal taunting and altercation between Singh's group of friends and a group of Slavic immigrants. My original diary told of the attack and the likely involvement of the Slavic immigrant fundamentalist Christian community.

Now we know who was responsible for Singh's death, and he's escaped to Russia--with the help of his Christian family.

Today from Politico:

Mitt Romney recorded $300 in payments to a California company that describes itself as "a mobile beauty team for hair, makeup and men's grooming and spa services."

Is this PR heaven and sudden justice for Dems sick of the Edwards haircut story?  

Glenn Greenwald doesn't think so.  We love Glenn, but let's make sure, just this once, he's wrong.

Satendar Singh

From today's Sacramento Bee:

Satendar Singh was known within his family as "the lucky one."

At age 19, he won a coveted spot in a visa lottery, enabling him to leave his native Fiji for the United States. He built a life for himself in Sacramento, living with his aunt and uncle and later his grandmother, and touched the lives of those around him.

On Tuesday, Singh lay on life support in the intensive care unit of Mercy San Juan Medical Center, the victim of a Sunday night assault at Lake Natoma -- a possible hate crime that witnesses believe was fueled by homophobia and racism.
