Cable A la Carte anyone?

Wed Sep 05, 2007 at 10:49:03 PM PDT

I want to choose which networks appear on my television.

And I just sent that message to congress from here

HearUsNow

It would be great if others would do the same.

What if your cable subscription was like a menu.  You could choose which
networks you want.  There would be no package that includes 30 channels
that you find obnoxious.  No more would you have to support all this
product that you wish would simply go away.

Compare Vietnam to Iraq in 2013

Mon Aug 27, 2007 at 08:21:14 PM PDT

About Vietnam and Iraq,

I expect that if you asked George Bush how long
we should stay in Iraq he would say something like,
until the "job" is done,

being that the lesson from Vietnam was that we
should have stayed on until the job was done, according to
dear leader.

What I wander is - why is Bush comparing Iraq to Vietnam
now?  The appropriate year for such a comparison would be
the year 2013.

Why we must "WIN" this war

Wed Apr 25, 2007 at 09:07:59 PM PDT

I just received a group email to a group in which I was included by
a dear relative.

The email included pictures of Muslim protesters in London following
the Danish  Mohamed cartoons episode also following Abu Graib and
the pissing on the Koran episode at Guantanamo.

I can't take it anymore -
I'm turned off by the TV

Look how far we've come, not.

Fri Feb 09, 2007 at 10:15:22 PM PDT

We got the truth out about the pre war lies, we were right about Iraq,
we took back the Congress, we were right about global warming, we were
even right about Rove and Cheney outing Valerie Plame, and what do you know

Almost every time I hear Republicans commenting on the situation in Iraq they reveal their ignorance.

Music about Electronic Voting Machines

Thu Jul 27, 2006 at 11:01:56 PM PDT

A wonderful veteran for peace named Peter Tracy has written a song to bring some gallows fun to this grim subject of electronic voting. A link to a video of Peter's song is below.

But first a few words on the subject of paper trails,
and political will.

Electronic voting machines have proven to be easily rigged. But they are  being used all over the country.

My Representative is making me Happy

Thu Mar 02, 2006 at 11:12:22 PM PDT

and the pursuit of my happiness by my representative is the way it should be and shows that ethics and intelligence can be found in the House of Representatives.  I want everyone to know about this legislation and if you could please show some support by sending an email, a letter or perhaps a box of chocolates to the honorable democrat.

Make noise loud and often to create the political will
to get us out of Iraq.

Senator Diane Feinstein speaks out on Iraq

Wed Feb 01, 2006 at 09:46:08 PM PDT

"First of all, regarding Iraq, the time has come for the President to stand up and say what the plan is:  How and when American forces are going to be able to come home or be repositioned elsewhere in the region.  Most of us know the United States cannot just withdraw immediately, because that would lead to a civil war and a terrorist state.  But there needs to be a strategy and a framework, and the President has never said what that is. "

President Bush just robbed a bank today and got away with 25 million dollars. Two bank tellers and the guard were murdered in the incident when they mistook Bush for an ordinary citizen.  Later, he played 18 holes of golf with members of his staff and leaves for a vacation in Crawford Texas in the morning. "We're making good progress" he assured reporters as he left the Whitehouse.
