It's summer time and now is the time you're most likely to see a picket line. What do you do? Your instincts tell you not to cross, but perhaps you have to cross for your job? What are your rights? Follow me below the fold for a brief explanation of picket line rights and the law and what you can do to make sure that you aren't forced to cross a line.

To tell the truth, I was very nervous about bringing my kids to see this movie, but I was bowled over by my eighth grader's reaction. She's never really shown any interest in this issue and she couldn't stop talking about it when we left the theatre. She's already decided she's going to walk the 1.5 miles to high school next year and she started pushing me to get a hybrid before we'd even left the building. This, from a kid who was always begging rides from as little as six blocks away! I strongly suggest bringing middle schoolers to this movie, it definitely engages them. They will not be bored and the science is not out of their reach. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for my 9 year old, she fell asleep. (But, I'm not worried about her, she wants to ride her bike everywhere.)
