Sen. Dorgan endorses Obama
Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 11:26:09 AM PDT
Another super!
North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan has endorsed Barack Obama.
The three-term senator joins his North Dakota colleague Kent Conrad in backing the presidential candidate.
The endorsement comes a day after one-time presidential candidate Chris Dodd endorsed Obama.
Obama now has 10 Senators to Hillary's 13 -- closing the gap big time. Are the floodgates now open?
Hillary bailing on Wisconsin

What was her attack about not wanting to answer questions in Wisconsin? Well, if they want to ask her a question, they better hurry up:
Clinton scales back campaign schedule here
Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton has scaled back her Wisconsin campaign schedule by a full day, and is now planning to leave the state after Monday morning instead of Tuesday morning.
The move suggests the campaign does not think it can overtake rival Barack Obama here. Obama has already campaigned in the state Tuesday night, Wednesday, Friday, and today. He also has single events planned for Sunday (Kaukauna) and Monday (Beloit).
Obama and his supporters shouldn't pull back their efforts since the polls are still close. But they should let everyone in Wisconsin know that Hillary is bailing on the state. Maybe it's just not "significant" enough?
Soldiers for Obama. Lobbyists for Hillary.

An interesting catch by Tapper:
In the 4th quarter of 2007, individuals in the Army, Navy and Air Force made those branches of the armed services the No. 13, No. 18 and No. 21, contributing industries, respectively. War opponent Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, received the most from donors in the military, collecting at least $212,000 from them. Another war opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, was second with about $94,000.
Soldiers love Ron and Barack, and lobbyists love Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, the No. 1 recipient of lobbyist cash, receiving $823,000 in 2007 from the lobbying industry, which gave about $2.7 million overall.
Also, Hillary has raised almost 10x more money from lobbyists than Obama (like Edwards, he doesn't take money from federal lobbyists). Not a surprise, then, that Obama has a much higher percentage of small money donors than her.

A great endorsement that flies in the face of Hillary's false charges about Obama record! She is switching from Edwards to Obama, and she explains her reasoning in full at this link and in extended entry. My favorite part:
Many who had given up on politics are re-engaging. Many who had grown tolerant of the intolerable are now ready to demand more and not just from themselves but others. And many who had given up believing that the ideals of equality, dignity and justice would ever again be as politically important as money and power, now believe again.
And this too is why I'm endorsing Senator Barack Obama.
Barack and John Edwards were different candidates, with different backgrounds and life experiences, but all these many months and really throughout their lives, they have been on a common path.
Both are focused on changing our politics, both are committed to shaking the foundation of the Washington establishment, and both are profound voices for what our country should and can be.
A revolution for the netroots
Mon Feb 19, 2007 at 12:19:17 PM PDT
The netroots have brought their revolution to almost every aspect of the political world - from media to fundraising. From candidate recruitment to volunteering. The netroot denizens have muckraked, shone sunlight on scandal and process, and propelled their favorite candidates to victory.
Now, it's time to move into one of the last bastions of the beltway pundits and consultants: the think tank. More details on the flip, but the Draft Obama group has released the "Grasstank" for us all to use to propose and shape ideas for Senator Obama's campaign.
State Bd of Elections calls Kilgore a hypocrite

Great RaisingKaine post highlighting Kilgore lack of principles. I'll do some editing for space, but go
here to see the full post.
On the heels of a Kaine campaign flier that . . . led to a $100 fine by Virginia's State Board of Elections . . . Kilgore also has been fined for an even worse violation.
The most amazing thing about this is the hypocrisy of it all. First, Kilgore complains to officials about Kaine's flyer . . . [and then] breaks the same law in an even worse way . . .
But, don't take my word for it. This is what the Board Secretary, Jean Jensen, had to say on the whole affair:
