Bush is to Microsoft as Gore is to Apple Inc.

Tue Jan 09, 2007 at 02:04:38 PM PDT

Yep, It's not Apple Computer anymore, just Apple Inc.  Steve Jobs and Apple Inc. hit one out of the stadium with the introduction of the iPhone at today's MacExpo Keynote Address.  The iPhone is a combination iPod, cell phone, camera, and portable computing/Internet device.

More details are available on Apple's iPhone page.

I've been a Mac user for some time but I must say that this is the first Apple product that I've absolutely lusted for.  It sucks to be a Zune today (or Treo or Blackberry for that matter).

P.S. Musician John Mayer closed the keynote with a couple of songs and the following quote:

Jobs and Apple Inc. just make life more fun.  It's the exact opposite of terrorism.

Lieberman as VP

Tue Nov 07, 2006 at 06:15:39 AM PDT

My Fantasy: Bush and Cheney are impeached.  Pelosi becomes POTUS.

The reality: look for Cheney's heart condition to take a turn for the worse.  He will resign before November's end.  Then Rove can install a VP before the new congress takes over who is unimpeachable.

Who is the one person sitting as VPOTUS that would keep us from impeaching Bush?  In my opinion, that would be Lieberman.  Think about it, the MSM would be showering Bush with accolades for being a uniter, blah, blah, blah.  Any opposition to Lieberman by the Dems would be seen as obstructionist.

No way we are going to replace Bush with Lieberman come January.

Take the poll for your least favorite VPOTUS candidate after the break...

Billmon Taking a Break

Mon Sep 25, 2006 at 09:58:42 PM PDT

Damn it...

As I have occasionally noted before, I have a life -- complete with family responsibilities and a rather large mortgage, both funded by my soulless, meaningless corporate day job.

However, the last few months have been somewhat less than fully productive at the office, thanks to this blog and the potentially insignificant distractions discussed herein.

Now it's time to catch up (and also get ready for the big move up to the Arctic Circle). Which means posts are likely to be few and far between -- or just plain absent -- for the indefinite future.

So, if you're one of those people who've e-mailed to tell me that you check every day to see if I've posted something new, you should stop now. You'll only be disappointed.
