Why People Vote Republican

Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 01:06:01 PM PDT

This has taken some thought on my part, as I come from the state of Ohio, where you would expect Democratic principles on economic issues would drive this state to be a very Democratic state. I learned last night especially however, with the overwhelming passage of Issue 1 in Ohio (which I voted no for because people should ALL have the same rights and opportunities in my eyes), how people are so blinded by Religion in this state that they vote against something that may help in their opinions in one area while bashing them over the head HARD in another.  I myself am a Christian, even would be considered an Evangelical Christian (I'm a white Pentacostal, not too many of those around I know).  The family I was raised in is all born again Christians, and we are ALL Democrats.

Just got polled

Tue Sep 21, 2004 at 02:34:28 PM PDT

Seems like a Ralph Nader person has decided to attempt to do an automated poll in good ole 16th district of OH.

3 Questions

1. Likelyhood of voting in November
  Very of course

2. Who do you plan on voting for now
  John Kerry of course

3. Would you ever consider voting for Ralph Nader
   Likely
   Somewhat likely
Very slighly or never - my choice

Not sure what this poll was for, just find it funny I actually got polled for something, even if it was for Ralph Nader.  Guess he's more organized than I ever thought he was...even though it was probably a Republican polling for him LOL

Met Jeff Seemann this Evening

Sat Apr 24, 2004 at 06:37:23 PM PDT

Had the opportunity to go see Mr. Seemann speak tonight at our county's Jefferson/Jackson Dinner.  I must say that the people on Daily Kos and donaters to his campaign would be proud of the candidate that they are supporting.  Jeff is a very articulate, intelligent, and humorous person, who comes off very well to the audience as well as in one on one conversations.  I must also give props to him for coming to Ashland County, as hes the first candidate in my lifetime to do so.  His campaign staff is made up of very nice people, who I related to very well.  All I can say is to the posters on DailyKos and donaters to the Jeff Seemann campaign, thank you for helping a Democrat who is willing to take the fight to Ralph Regula and the Republican machine in my district, and one who has the interests of the average American at heart.
