Wow, the Iraqi government learns quickly...

Thu Feb 24, 2005 at 10:23:00 AM PDT

That is, they learn the worst habits of our government quickly.  Like how well irony works in the appointment of officials.  We place energy lobbyists in the EPA, they put convicted embezzlers in charge of the finance ministry.

From the Christian Science Monitor:

Over the weekend, SCIRI leader Abdel-Aziz Hakim met with Chalabi and offered to make him the top financial overseer in Iraq, responsible for the oil, trade, and finance ministries in exchange for him withdrawing, according to the SCIRI official. A spokesman for Chalabi confirmed the meeting but would not say what was discussed.

Lovely...

Oh my god!

Okay, I would direct you all to check out the CNN breakdown for New Mexico:

318,782: Bush
317,005: Kerry
94% of precincts reported as of 3:58 a.m. EST

Is New Mexico actually going to be going for Kerry?

I just thought I might direct some attention to another 5 EV's we had just written off.

It could be 257 to 251 by the end of tonight.

No sleep for me this evening...

Action items for this evening and tomorrow...

Tue Nov 02, 2004 at 11:04:58 PM PDT

  1.  Make a call to the national KE'04 Campaign Headquarters: 202-712-3000 to express your support, gratitude, and most importantly to urge that they NOT concede Ohio.

  2.  Donate to the KE'04 legal fund.  This is going extra rounds.

  3.  Write LTE's like there is no tomorrow.

  4.  If you are in, or anywhere near Ohio, get out on the streets.

Don't give this up.  Sadly, many Democrats have gone to bed in depression.

2000 WILL NOT BE REPEATED!

Talk about poor copy editing...

I have no reason to suspect malicious intent, but would you like at the second picture in this article from Yahoo News:

Radio Record Paints Chilling 9/11 Picture

Anyone want to talk subliminal suggestion...

Though his name is not mentioned anywhere, BLAM, there is his photo smack dab under 9/11 information.

Ahh...truth. Blair: We May Not Discover WMD

Wed Dec 17, 2003 at 06:40:19 PM PDT

From today's Mirror:

Tony Blair admitted for the first time yesterday that weapons of mass destruction may never be found in Iraq.

In a U-turn which was seen as hugely significant, the Prime Minister spoke of Saddam Hussein's WMD in the past tense.

He said: "That Saddam had them is beyond doubt. We will find what happened to them."

I predict a quiet administration switch in the spring of 2004 in order to subdue criticism in the subsequent election.

Agreeance does not inclusivity make...a partial response

Mon Nov 03, 2003 at 10:07:13 PM PDT

I wished for a more complete, and more academic piece to be my first entry, but extra-blogging life has increased its demands in the past weeks, and only fit-of-passion posts complete themselves quickly.

In recent posts by DHinMI, Chris Bower, and Melanie I have seen cogent arguments against generalizations.  In my mind, these arguments are tainted by additional layers of request placed upon liberals who disagree with the ideas put forth, i.e. religion and the Confederate flag.

I would ask:

What does inclusivity mean for "non-traditional" liberals?

Does tolerance have to require agreeance?
