NC-Sen: Kay Hagan guarantees victory at debate

Thu May 01, 2008 at 11:12:37 PM PDT

Yesterday at the one and only NC Democratic Primary Debate for Senate, Kay Hagan had to be reminded twice, once by opponent Jim Neal and again by the moderator, that the election had not happened yet as she continued to say that she was "running against Dole". Then she basically guarantees victory a week before primary.

I'm Tired of Hope

Hope is such a passive word. What Nietzsche referred to as "the most evil of evils", hope is useless unless we demand of ourselves, each other and our government.

Edwards' hair - You make the call

Fri Jul 06, 2007 at 12:21:22 AM PDT

Much to do has been reported (I wouldn't actually call it reporting really) about John Edwards' hair. How he sits around his posh estate obsessing over his hair..how he can't even walk past a mirror without catching himself and muttering,

"Wow...my hair is amazing"

or

"Thank you God for making me so sexy"

or maybe even rummaging through the bathroom drawer,

"Elizabeth!!!...Goddammit where did you put my hair gel.... I told you not to ever touch it...EVER!!!

and maybe at the airport security line,

"What do you mean my shampoo bottle is more than 3 ounces...They don't make my special shampoo and conditioner in travel size you idiot....Do you know who I am!!"

at least that is what the media wants you to think

Framing the Debate on Faith and Family Values

After watching a host of political talk shows the last few weeks, I've noticed that....

Edwards up in Iowa

Mon Jun 12, 2006 at 08:28:01 PM PDT

Don't underestimate Edwards. He will be a legitimate contender in 08. He will be a much better candidate than he was in 04. Mark my words. You will see a huge difference in his preparedness. Even though he is short on experience in certain issues, he has been preparing since the end of the last campaign. He will be the nominee regardless of who runs. And that includes Clinton and Gore.

Here's what I wrote to those nimrods at Hardball last night

Wed Oct 06, 2004 at 01:49:15 PM PDT

You guys at Hardball were not even in the park last night when you were saying Cheney won and won overwhelmingly. Did you guys get alot of flac from the Right last week on the Bush Kerry debate? Were you trying to purposely even it out last night. Most people thought it was draw or Edwards win. How can you consider Cheney the winner when he sat there and lied to Edwards and to the American people. Boldfaced lies I might add. He lied on meeting Edwards and he lied about saying Iraq had WMDs. And he couldn't even respond to his own right-wing voting record. He voted against the MLK holiday??!!! Unbelievable! He couldn't even respond to Halliburton.
Chris I know you're partial to Washington insiders such as Cheney, who speak with gravitas, but when a politician out and out lies in a debate, he loses by default period. It has been obvious you haven't cared for Edwards. You have continued to belittle him every chance you get, just because he hasn't been in Washington for years and he is better looking than you. Don't hate him because he's beautiful. How about showing a little respect for the Senator from North Carolina. He stood toe to toe with Mr. Washington Insider and gave as good as he got.
By the way Joe Scarborough is about as fair and balanced as Bill O'Reilly, over at Faux News.
