Okay.... Here goes, my first DK diary, after 3 years of reading.

This is extremely important, so I would like to get the word out. Please help spread the word.

I just learned last week about a mass march in Washington DC on Jan 27th to protest the war ... organized by united for justice and peace, and co-sponsored by many, many organizations including CODEPINK, NOW, peaceaction, etc etc.

Last fall on a Sunday, I was so overwhelmed by the pain and suffering caused by our invasion/occupation, and some might say destruction, of Iraq, and so bewildered by what American was doing to them... I could not stop crying.  I wondered, where are the American protests to something so horribly wrong?  I searched on the net and found only small protests organized by CODEPINK at the time.  I thought to myself, at least someone is doing something, but it seemed like a low-profile effort.
