CA-11 Grassroots Candidate Cracks DCCC's Nuts

In California's Congressional District 11, home of the worst man in the world, Rep. Richard Pombo, there is currently a Herculean struggle underway for the Democratic nomination. Grassroots favorite Jerry McNerney is running against the DCCC's golden boy Steve Filson. Now normally this wouldn't be much of a contest. Filson has the endorsement of almost every member of the Bay Area Congressional delegation, the endorsement of the DCCC (yes, Virginia, they DO endorse in contested primaries) and lots of big donations from political PACs and lobbyists.
McNerney, on the other hand, would seem to be walking a lonely road.
