You know - The other Muslim country we simply had to conquer after the mission in Iraq was almost accomplished? Yeah, that one.

The world was scared enough not to laugh out aloud when we declared that Lebanon could not have a free and fair election while there was a single Syrian boot on Lebanese soil, even as we were preparing for our own version of "free and fair" elections in US-occupied Iraq.

Maybe we were hoping for some resistance from the Syrians which would give us the excuse we needed to spread freedom and democracy to Syria. Unfortunately(?), Syria complied with our demands and promptly left Lebanon. End of story?

Not quite. Guess what? We are now demanding, through the UN Security Council, that Syria go back into Lebanon, or else!
