The Healing Has Started -- Evidence

Fri Jun 06, 2008 at 07:22:52 PM PDT

Today I got an email from the Obama campaign for a donation. It's been a while since my last donation so I decided it was time. I wanted to give $100.01, but through a quirk in my handling of the donation screen it ended up as $25 (the default), so I gave again. My total for today is now $125.01. I made the donation on a screen that handles pledges to inspire other donors through matching.

I got a few email from donors who matched my donations.

We Need An Emergency Episode of MythBusters

Mon Aug 21, 2006 at 01:05:43 PM PDT

In this emergency episode, the MythBusters duo should focus on the plausibility of that a TATP "liquid explosive" could bring down a plane. In this way, we can learn the real likelihood of success of the London Airport Terror Plot.

For those of you not familiar with the Discovery Channel's MythBuster series, the intreped MythBusters spare no expense to safely investigate urban myths. Typically, the MythBusters start out with the bare myth, which they generally prove as "busted".  However, to spice up the program, along the road to proving most myths as "busted", the MythBusters proceed to create the most optimal set of circumstances prove the myth as true, no matter how impractical the method.

I have great faith that the FBI has already tested the feasibility of this hatchling of a plot.  For some reason, however--I just can't put my finger on it--they have not released the results of the testing to the general public.

General Hayden and Luftwaffe Commander-in-Chief Goering

Thu May 18, 2006 at 07:23:49 PM PDT

I watched some of today's confirmation hearing for Air Force General Michael B. Hayden. I saw the chairman. Senator Pat Robert's, opening statement.

How does this relate to Herman Goering? Fear plays a major role.

The Lawlessness of the Law

Thu May 04, 2006 at 04:36:03 PM PDT

This snippet from the news gave me a chill:

http://www.cnn.com/...

"Why did you lie to get us into a war that caused these kind of casualties and was not necessary?" asked Ray McGovern, the former analyst.

"I did not lie," shot back Rumsfeld, who waved off security guards ready to remove McGovern from the hall at the Southern Center for International Studies.

"waved off security guards ready to remove McGovern"

Indeed, the salivating security dogs of law enforcement. What can one do when presented with a situation in which persons--while in service to the law--themselves break the law?

Rocks Just Laying Around (50-State Canvass in NY-25)

Sat Apr 29, 2006 at 08:44:05 PM PDT

I present my second diary, but remember, I'm just learning.

In NY-25, I want Jim Walsh replaced with a Democrat. I've sent Walsh emails explaining my disdain with his voting position on several occasions. I've told him I will cast no vote for him in November. The last time I emailed Jim Walsh, who has never answered my emails, I thought to myself:  I really want to be part of your removal from office.

In a recent dairy, I learned of the Democratic Party's 50-State Canvass and decided to sign up for an existing event. Below the fold, see how that signup lead to the title of this diary.

Bush Cut Funds for Autism Study

Sun Mar 19, 2006 at 06:47:31 PM PDT

I offer for your consideration my first diary. Let me know how I do.

In the suburbs of Rochester there exists a town called Greece. In this suburb, lives teenager Jason McElwain, also known as J-Mac.  This high functioning autistic teenager had a position as team manager of his high school basketball team.  He dreamed, of course, to play in a game with the team. Sometime in mid-February, on the last game of the season, with his team winning, and with the outcome of the game never in doubt, the basketball coach allowed J-Mac so suit up and play. J-Mac stunned all present, including his coach and team members, by making six three-point baskets and one additional two-point in the closing few minutes of the game to score an additional 20 points. As chance would have it, video cameras rolled during this score fest. The videos and J-Mac's fame went national.
