Center for Constitutional Rights (among others) are sponsoring a protest TOMORROW July 4th in NYC calling for the Guantanamo Detention Center to be closed.

Early Voting in Florida -- Volunteering

A friend and I are planning to go down to Florida the week of the 25th to help with canvassing and early voting. Early voting starts the 18th, see:

Here's my question...any advice about where to go? West Palm Beach? Tampa? Anybody else going to FL for early voting? Any advice?
Who to volunteer with in the Philadelphia area? [Poll]

I'm planning to go to Pennsylvania to volunteer in the Philadelphia area from Oct 22-28. I will be staying in the Philly area, but will have a car, so I could volunteer in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, or Delaware counties. I'll be volunteering with a friend who will also be traveling to PA [we're from Connecticut]. I'd like to spend my time as productively as possible, and would like to volunteer all day each day. I assume I'll be door-knocking and making phone calls.
I've spoken with the Kerry/Dems offices as well as ACT [America Coming Together]. Do people have any recommendations for the most useful places to volunteer in the general Philly area? And, any opinions about whether to volunteer with the Kerry/Dems offices directly versus with ACT? I'm grateful for any advice.
