Ok, first diary in a while, so bear with me.

Lots of folks are freaking out about the Iraq funding compromise.  I will take no opinion on this issue here but instead use threads of this discussion to ask a different question:  

Do Democrats truly believe that the average American agrees with their underlying philosophy?

In light of Time Magazine’s Person of the Year, 2006 (Its You!!!! Aren’t you Proud?  Take a Bow.), I am confident that I have predicted next years winner.
