She Was Still Human

Fri Feb 01, 2008 at 04:38:34 PM PDT

Warning:  This is not a political diary.  It is my humble attempt at conveying a message about shared humanity.  With all of the ugliness in candidate wars (and yes I contribute my fair share of nastiness), I hope you will find this story thought-provoking.

And yes, this story is based on real events.  It happened to me towards the end of summer 2007... I knew I would write about, just not when.  This afternoon it hit me.

Please join me below the fold for the story - I hope you enjoy it.

Corporate America Adopts Tacticts of the Left

Wed Jun 20, 2007 at 09:44:51 AM PDT

Corporate America today, speaking through its Public Relations Firm Broken Record Communications, announced today in a press conference that it is adopting the tactics of liberals & progressives.

Chief Obfuscator for Broken Record, Marilyn 'Muddy the Waters' Millionaire, had this to say:

Corporate America has taken notice of how liberals and progressives choose party 'unity' over substance in the majority of cases when deciding to support Democratic candidates.  As a consequence, Corporate America has decided to continue supporting candidates even when such politicians fail to deliver on Corporate American's agenda.  Too often we have tied our support to the model of "return-on-investment'.  Henceforth we will be more 'progressive' in our approach and support party unity over actionable results.

Progressive Counter-bureaucracy: Fight Like The Right

Tue Jun 19, 2007 at 12:11:30 PM PDT

First off, a disclaimer:  This is an opinion piece in which I toss out ideas on how to better organize ourselves - and more effectively combat out-of-control radical conservatism.

Backgrounder:  I have spent many years in corporate America - and I have observed how the corporate model "fights" - which is almost identical to how the GOP/Radical Right fights.  It is organized.  It is integrated into local communities.  And it's framework is created at a national level and modified for local consumption.

Organization / Bureaucracy:
There are many highly organized entities on the right - most are, or are backed, by corporations.  Corporations are organized into very well-controlled units (for the most part).  The parts of a corporation are aligned to respond to specific events / processes - we must adopt this model.
