No, I'm not talking about members of the administration.

I'm talking about the movie starring Tom Cruise, back when he was still sort of cool.  As the movie gets close to it's climax, the Tom Cruise character (Lt. Kaffee)asks (Col. Jessup) played by Jack Nicholson something to the affect that if you ordered Santiago not to be touched, then why was he in danger?.  Grave Danger?  Is there any other kind?

Great movie.  Anyway, the same thinking could be applied to the current US Attorney scandal.  The White House has claimed that it had nothing to do with the firings.  Alright.  If that's the case, why not let Harriet Miers, Sara Taylor and Karl Rove testify?  If they had nothing to do with it, they should have nothing to hide.

Executive Privilege?  OK.  If you had nothing to with the firings, what's wrong with discussing what you knew and when you knew it?

Tragedy struck the Republican National Debate last night as Senator Brownback was attacked by what witnesses describe as a "wolf-like" creature.  The attacked happened shortly after Senator Brownback's response to a question on whether or not he believed in Evolution.  A few seconds after raising his hand in disagreement with the alleged "theory", a ferocious "wolf-like" animal, attacked the Senator and began to maul him.

Fortunately, before the creature could do any serious damage to Brownback the animal shot to death by six of the nine other Republican candidates who happen to be brandishing a loaded weapon during the debate.  

In an unrelated story, CNN correspondent and debate moderator Wolf Blitzer went missing shortly before the incident and has yet to be found.
