My new improved Barack VP poll
Sun Jun 22, 2008 at 02:30:15 PM PDT
I've come up with a new poll for My Barack VP. I made an earlier one when I wasn't satisfied with the names on the first polls that leaned heavy to the military and politically experienced. I thought he had those bases covered already in a way I preferred, and I wanted to see his presidency enlarged in a human way (e.g., choices Caroline Kennedy, Elizabeth Edwards) or great issues/unique abilities (Al Gore). As far as I'm concerned, Al Gore won my first poll.
But ok, I see now that I need to revise it. After his cave on FISA, I no longer trust Obama's judgment, spine, and standup forceful commitment to the Constitution. Where's the leadership? I see now that Obama needs some serious substance. Like this guy:
See below the fold.
My Barack Veep poll, from Gore to Spitzer

From my keyboard to Barack's ears! (I'm a dreaming and a grinning)
There was an earlier Kos poll for Obama VP, but my choices weren't on it. So go there and vote if you want Clark or Webb or Kaine or Richardson or... lots of em, can't remember, they all bored me, and Al Gore got ruled out just when I would have ruled him IN. I like my choices better, so there, I mean here.
I've got eight possiblities tonight that I'm liking to think of, and here they are: AL GORE, Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Edwards, Caroline Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Dee Dee Myers, Donna Frye, and Eliot Spitzer. Got reasons for all of them, even Eliot. If you vote for Other, please leave a comment and say who and why.
New poll - Banning on HuffPo (election questioners? Clinton nixers? liberals? AT&T?)

"Paranoia will destroy ya" --Kinks
New poll! This is a followup to an earlier diary I wrote wondering why I was banned from commenting on Huffington Post. Several Kossacks replied that they had recently been banned or knew of others who had been banned too. None of the banned knew why, and only one had been reinstated.
I had wondered about every possible reason I could think of why I might have been banned by Huffington Post (or disappeared by AT&T!) and left a poll in my earlier diary. With 50 votes, the top vote-getters were (16 votes) decline to state for fear of being disappeared too, (12) other, (11) Clinton moles, and (4) Dick Cheney/AT&T.
Arianna Huffington replied to my e-mail (after my e-mail to Info was not answered) and apologized, said it was a technical error, and she directed a blog editor to reinstate me. Soon I was undead.
It's such a curious error, now I'm looking for banning patterns, see below, there may be method to this madness.
Banned by Huffington Post (or disappeared by AT&T?) Poll
Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 02:06:50 PM PDT
I just got the message today on Huffington Post, as I was trying to post my third comment of the day: "Sorry, but you have been banned from commenting." I'm not the first to be banned, and like JoesGarage my e-mails to HuffPo asking why have not been answered. Why are we being banned?
I'm a long-time and frequent commenter on HuffPo. I have 10 fans. One anti-Blackwater comment I left recently was chosen as a "HuffPo Pick" by the editors. When you go to post, there's a waiting period while the comment is approved. Some comments I've left have not been posted. So my question is, if what I said was so objectionable, why wasn't just that comment screened out by the editors? Why ban me?
But I also wonder -- something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear -- can Cheney be intervening in that secret lever-pressing way of his? I have AT&T internet and it's constantly disconnecting and reconnecting, which makes me wonder if it's constantly redirecting my outputs.
