Massachusetts Politics. It's Ed O'Reilly vs. John Kerry! w/poll
Sun Jun 08, 2008 at 08:44:05 AM PDT
Yesterday, Massachusetts had its convention. The most important vote was the vote was for whose name will be on the primary ballot this September. There are 2 hurdles in Massachusetts to have your name on the primary ballot.
- 10,000 signitures
- 15% of the delgates must vote for you.
As of yesterday, Ed O'Reilly from Glousester, Mass. has accomplished both.

Hey, Clinton Supporters, Did you ever think that it's not the medias fault?
Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 08:30:00 AM PDT
I have been listening to some Clinton supporters scream and rant and rave that Hillary Rodman Clinton lost the primary race because it was the media's fault. Or it was Obama supporters who are sexist against women is the reason why Clinton lost. I watched yesterday on youtube a woman yelling (I think her name was Harriet or Kathleen Christian) that the primary was stolen from Clinton and she is going to vote for McCain. But did you ever consider that the problem is more close to home?

This is exactly the reason why we need to elect new Democrats w/poll
Wed Apr 30, 2008 at 10:16:39 AM PDT
I was reading Talking Points Memo and came across this little chestnut. Senator-HI- Daniel Inouye is holding a fundraiser for the courruption laden Senator-AK-Ted Stevens.
Yes, that's right. A democrat is holding a fundraiser for a Republican. Though most of the money will go to his defense fund, there is never a good reason for any elected democratic official to hold a fundraisers for a republican. EVER! Especially one as corrupt as "A Bridge to Nowhere" Ted Stevens.

I was reading the news on raw story and came across this article of child labor practices in China. It is a short but telling story how children are being exploited and used as cheap labor.
According to a contract exposed by an undercover reporter, a child is paid 3.5 yuan (.50)an hour and must work at least 300 hours a month.

Another Corporate-American Success Story
Mon Apr 28, 2008 at 08:40:58 AM PDT
I just want to take time out of all the election stories and post a success story about one of our downtrodden Corporate-Americans who went from riches to mega-riches. It is a story how one CEO was able to overcome all the odds set against him and use the "pays to fail" technique that was set up for him in Congress by our elected officials from the 1980's trhough today.
George Bush is planning to give me $600 next month. This is what I plan to do with it. W/ poll.
Thu Apr 03, 2008 at 05:51:56 PM PDT
George Bush, in his Herculean effort to stem this "not resession yet" all by himself, is planning to give me $600.00. I was planning to do the same thing when he fronted me $300.00 back a few years ago then added it to my taxes at the end of the year. I was going pay down my credit card. But this year, I pledge to send $150.00 to Barack Obama and $150.00 to Ed O'Reilly for Senate in Massachusetts and $50.00 to the DNC so Howard Dean can tell the DLC and their backers to go to hell. The rest will go to pay down my credit card.

Anne Coulter- She'll work for food.
Thu Feb 21, 2008 at 05:36:14 PM PDT
I'm not one for celebrity gossip, but every once in a while there is a column that you just have to read. It seems Anne Coulter, once the favorite of the racist/religious section of the republican party, had her credit card declined at a local Publix in Palm Beach.

Last night Donna Edwards defeated Al Wynn in their democratic primary. First off, I would like to congratulate Donna Edwards in a well run campaign. Ms. Edwards will be one more voice in a hopefully growing chorus of progressive democrats supporting democratic values.

I became a delegate for Ed O'Reilly for Senate last Saturday!W/Poll
Tue Feb 05, 2008 at 08:26:24 AM PDT
As Super Tuesday has arrived, we must not forget that there are other elections that are equally important to the progressive movement. Last Saturday, I was chosen by my ward to be a delegate to the Democratic State Convention. I am also a volunteer on the committee to elect Ed O'Reilly, Democrat for U.S. Senate..

You say you want change, but then you vote the same.
Thu Jan 31, 2008 at 04:36:46 PM PDT
There is a repetitive theme I read not only here on DKOS but on other websites throughout the progressive bloggersphere. It seems we want change. WE WANT CHANGE. We want representatives that support our views and fight for changes in healthcare, PAC money, and lobbyist reforms just to name a few. We want congress to investigate the Bush Administration illegal activities, cronyism and corruption. We want the constitution restored. We want congress to investigate the charges that Sibel Edmonds is stating against high ranking officials in the Bush Administration. Charges that these men were ILLEGALLY selling nuclear secrets to foreign governments.

Remember, at the end we are ALL Democrats.
Fri Jan 25, 2008 at 12:59:02 PM PDT
I was listening to Bill Press this morning and in one of his segments, (thank god for satellite radio) he was reading emails about how he received over 75 emails stating that they would not vote for another democrat because what the Clinton Campaign is saying about Barack Obama. His opinion was that this was just an organized effort by Barack Obama volunteers. But he did receive calls stating the same thing.

Where is your name, Senator Kerry?!
Thu Jan 24, 2008 at 06:20:07 PM PDT
A few days ago I wrote a diary on Senator Kerry's long list of accepting PAC money from corporations . Today Mcjoan has a diary on the FISA bill.
She list 12 Senators who have vowed to support Senator Chris Dodd's filibuster. Now I am very happy JK voted nay on this bill, but why isn't the Senator taking a stand and supporting Dodd and Feingoldhttp://www.dailykos.com/...
I'm shocked, shocked that my Senator accepts PAC money!
Mon Jan 21, 2008 at 07:15:31 PM PDT
After a few days of ranting and raving that we needed change. That this country needs to get corporate money out of politics, I decided to do a little research in what PAC money my Senator, John Kerry, accepts. Those who have read my posts in the past (I like to thank both of you) know that I have become disillusioned with Senator Kerry. I have supported John Kerry since he ran for Lt. Governor right up to his run for President. It was during his run for President that I started to wonder what happened to the John Kerry I supported.

I won't be smiling even after the Democrats win in 2008
Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 12:54:57 PM PDT
Finally, the 2008 election is just around the corner. We, as democrats, have a chance to start this country back in the right direction. Or should I say the correct direction. It seems that any time the rethugs are in control, we are lead into recessions, depressions, and economic downturns. Call it what you will, Rethugs can't run shit. But like the charlatans they are, they can convince the masses they can.

Four issues the 08 legislature must to work on...
Tue Oct 23, 2007 at 07:04:06 AM PDT
There are four issues that I feel are important but not discussed. These issues are important (in my mind) that will help strengthen our democracy and I will be asking my Democratic Senator, Democratic Congressman, and Democratic President to work on after 2008 to help our country in many areas.

There is another part of BillO's comment that I have yet to hear anyone mention.
Wed Sep 26, 2007 at 11:04:36 AM PDT
When Bill O'Reilly was commenting about how surprised no one at Sylvia's acted differently, he also stated that "they don't listen to Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson anymore. They think for themselves." This struck me as an odd thing to say. Odd if you are reasonable or rational, I guess. Is Bill O'Reilly saying that people who listen to community and national leaders cannot think for themselves?

'08: It's time to vote out the DINO's.
Thu Sep 20, 2007 at 05:55:11 PM PDT
Today, our democratic senate once again capitulated to the "Republican Majority" and voted to condemn Movon.org about their Petreaus ad. We democrats voted in 2006 for change but we forgot one thing. We have too many Dino's and too many pre-06 democrats that cannot shake their minority standing.
