Candidate for the Florida State House of Representatives, District 119

Florida Republicans offer 24-hour service to $100,000 donors; Residents still await tax relief

Fri Jul 27, 2007 at 09:30:11 AM PDT

When some of our elected leadership learned about checks and balances back in their school days, they must have stopped reading at the word "checks."

The Republican leadership is finding time to hold a lavish weekend fundraiser, complete with salsa lessons, a yacht cruise, and 24-hour-a-day personal concierges for major donors. Meanwhile, the people of Florida are still waiting for real property tax reform, real insurance reform... and a solution to KidCare, the sunsetting of PIP/No Fault insurance and the energy issues facing the state.

FL-HD-49: Darren Soto - Off-year House Pickup

Mon Apr 23, 2007 at 12:35:42 PM PDT

Tuesday, Orlando-area citizens have the opportunity to elect a fresh face to the Florida House.  We just had our largest Democratic gain in over 30 years and now we have a chance to increase it even further!

The Orlando Sentinel (not known for its liberal bias) has strongly endorsed Darren Soto in both the primary and general, saying he "is far and away better prepared to represent the residents of District 49" than his Republican opponent, Tony Suarez, who served in the Florida House from 1999-2000 as a Democrat. (full story)

Despite being a predominantly Democratic area (42D, 26R), District 49 has been held by a Republican since 2002.  A special election has been called to fill the seat vacated when the incumbent resigned to run for another office.

Wed Sep 13, 2006 at 02:39:49 AM PDT

Michael Calderin, candidate for Congress in Florida's 25th District(Western Miami Dade, Collier and mainland Monore counties) is gaining endorsements everyday.  Just today we are proud to announce that we received the endorsement of Terri PAC, the PAC set up by Michael Schiavo after the fiasco that occured last year surrounding the government entruding into his personal life.

We also received the endorsement of the Progressive Democrats of America.

Michael is the youngest congressional candidate in the country. Twenty-six percent of the voters in the district are independant and ready for change. We are proud to have received these endorsements as it shows we are the track to win!
