Save Greg Palast
Tue May 03, 2005 at 08:02:50 AM PDT
I didn't see a diary on this in the past fifty or so (stretching back to last night) and just got the mail this morning, so I figured I'd spread the word for a worthy cause and a worthy guy.
Greg Palast needs your help. Who is Greg Palast?
Perhaps you recall hearing about a book called 'The Best Democracy Money Can Buy.' Or maybe the movie 'Bush Family Fortunes.' Perhaps you've read a bit at the BBC or Guardian about suspicions surrounding the legitimacy of the elections. Or maybe you've heard something about Bush Sr.'s gold mine on Democracy Now!. If any of these ring a bell, you already know Greg Palast's work.
More after the break.

I keep hearing all this worrying and fretting over what's going to happen Election Day. Well people, luckily you still live in a democracy and there is still stuff you can do to help keep it that way!

I read this on the Guardian UK's website and found it interesting enough to share. There are a few parallels between the Labor Party's recent losses in England and the Democrats in the US. A few excerpts can be found below. The whole article can be found

'But they hated us anyway'

I keep hearing this as an excuse from various right-wingers who seem to think that what's happened with Iraq hasn't really affected our standing in the world since all those furriners hated us secretly anyway.
