Poet slams Hillary, right in the kapootie
Tue May 06, 2008 at 11:33:36 AM PDT
This has been my reply to every positive post about Hillary, since Hillary successfully used the white racist vote in Pennsylvania to continue on with her miserable campaign. Not one commenter has come forward to defend her from this poem. I'll take it to mean the pen is mightier than the sword, but if anyone want to duel, I'll be up for that too. The poem has been modified yet again.
Officially Elitist night at DKos

Hamlet and now Poetry with 2 new stanzas
I need to know if this new stanza is too harsh
Prostrating herself to right winger Scaife
Trolloped & Dolled up, like a born again waifey
Ignoring the blood that still wet his hands
of funding the review of Bill’s one night stands
Is this too Harsh or does it sum it up perfectly?

$7.00 gas coming
Thu Apr 24, 2008 at 07:08:01 AM PDT
CNBC is doing a special all day about world Oil & gas supplies.
The last commentator/ analyst is predicting 7 dollar gas based on the facts:
Most of the new supply in oil products is in Liquid natural gas products, ie propane
90% of gas is used for car transportation
Propane accounts for 2% of transport fuels
"If the Unites States cannot get cars off the internal combustion engine, in the next 5 years, we'll have $7 gas."
Hillary goes in an old blue shoe! Seuss tribute
Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 07:26:44 PM PDT
Maureen Dowd's column today got me to thinking about how Dr. Seuss would have described the democratic primary.
Feel free to add a verse or suggest changes. Consider it a group project.
I want my Obama mp3
Sat Mar 22, 2008 at 03:31:48 PM PDT
So my HRC leaning father finally fell. On Sunday we met for brunch and he was a HRC fan. On Friday night he's on Team Obama. The "More perfect Union" speech, left him with no option but to switch sides. Seems his fascination for HRC, was her ability to needle Repugs. (Give credit where credit is due, she does have that ability)
#2 w/ Fries, Please
Wed Sep 13, 2006 at 01:47:09 PM PDT
I came across an interesting article 2 days ago in the Chicago Tribune, titled "Turning up the heat on recycled fuels". The article concerns Ed Rich, a Culvers franchise owner; using old French fry grease to heat the store's hot water system. A Google search turned up another two similar (but different articles) on Ed Rich's hot water heater. You should read both articles if for no other reason to see the difference that different reporters & editors make to a story.
According to the article there are 925,000 restaurants in the United States. That's a lot of French fries, and a lot of potential energy. Just where besides our waist is all that potential going to go.

Blame 9/11 on airlines, Congress, Bush
Fri Sep 01, 2006 at 12:47:53 PM PDT
The title of Father Andrew Greeley's column in The Chicago SunTimes. He comes out swinging,
The fifth anniversary of the World Trade Center attack is coming up soon. It should be a time of national disgrace and shame. It never should have happened.
Link to the Sun Times article is here:
http://www.suntimes.com/...
In the article he lays out in very simple terms the blame for 9-11 on the airline lobbyists, a corrupt inneffectual congress and an administration not concerned about terrorism.
The airline presidents and lobbyists responsible for the defeat of the steel doors ought not to be able to sleep at night because of this deadly betrayal of their passengers. Similarly should the media, which did not denounce the greed of the airlines at the time nor even after the Sept. 11 attack. If the terrorists had known that they could not have gained access to the flight decks, they probably would not have tried to execute their plot. If they had, it would not have worked.
I wrote a diary and didn't even know it
Thu Jun 29, 2006 at 12:21:15 PM PDT
Yesterday I received a forwarded email from an associate that just set me off. The email was a sanitized version of an email Prof Wichman sent out from his Michigan State University email address to a (MSU) Muslim Student Organization.A link to the original email is here: http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060425/NEWS05/604250381
The last word of the last sentence in the last paragraph of this repub automaton's forwarded email is what created this diary.
How's the left going to handle this one? If you're in favor of the
freedom of speech, as in the case of Ward Churchill, will the same
protections be demanded for Indrek Wichman? I doubt it.
Hey folks, send this to everybody and ask them to do the same and tell
them to keep passing it around till the whole country gets it. We are
in a war!
My response:
