A Texas Labor Day Cheers and Jeers!
Mon Sep 03, 2007 at 06:01:19 AM PDT
Welcome to the Labor Day holiday here in the states! I hope that you are not laboring today, but if you are here’s hoping the great pics that people upload can make your day a little lighter!
I would hit Bill’s "swoosh gong" but I think CSMainer would object... ;-)

I don’t find abusive relationships funny, but denial is an ugly thing.
There is some denial going on between us and our elected leaders.
See if you can find out who is who.
We don't like him either...

...and Bush still ain't no Texan!
There is a poll out from the pool of Blue that is Austin that floats in the middle of Texas that claimed:
In a new, exclusive CBS 42/Survey USA poll, 57 percent of respondents in Texas said they disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his presidency.
Gee, even his "W" was stolen

Politics is about more than the big names we see in the paper everyday. It is also comprised of people on the state level who love and serve their state. Politics is not and never should be completely serious all the time. Sometimes it's best to have a person in there that will shake people up a bit.
This diary is about the life and passing of one such man, Jacob Johnson, who served Texas in the House of Representative and had fun in the process.
It's not forever!

(forgive the rambling. I'm mad as hell. I want this done, more than i want it done perfect.)
All weekend and especially on Monday, I have listening to the TV and reading the blogs here on Dkos. There is one line, one phrase which I despise hearing above all others:
"9/11. The day that changed America. Forever!"
Oh Gods I hope not!
To Texas From Katrina - a Katrina Blog Project

I did not live through Katrina. I did help with the aftermath in a small way. And although I saw the devastation through the TV, I heard the voices of the desperate over the phone. I work for the state of Texas in its health department and we did what we could to help those without a voice.
