New Obama Website Up: "The Low-Road Express"
Thu Jul 31, 2008 at 02:16:39 PM PDT
The Obama campaign today launched a new website where they coral all the media responses to McCain's attack adds. Why? It becomes a one-stop shop to gather both the Obama Campaign response, media responses from all over
Petraeus says No Timetable
Sun Jul 27, 2008 at 11:40:33 PM PDT
So the drama continues, and by the AM it will be all Petraeus, all the time for the foreseeable future. Why? Because General Petraeus stated in an interview on Sunday that he does not support a timetable for withdrawal in Iraq.

Merkel: Obama "Well-Equiped Physically...& Politically"
Wed Jul 23, 2008 at 10:19:15 AM PDT
Hmmm....Is German Chancellor Angela Merkel getting captivated by our candidate even though she has not yet met him? Or is she compensating for the embarrassing flap over Sen. Obama's previous request to speak at the Brandenburg Gate?
Maliki Remarks "mistranslated"?
Sat Jul 19, 2008 at 06:44:53 PM PDT
And 3-2-1...I knew there was going to be a "clarification" of Nuri Al-Maliki's statement before the sun set, and voila...! As expected CNN is reporting that Maliki "disputes reports on withdrawal plans." Trust CNN to make sure we don't get too excited by Maliki's remarks.
Remembering Barack Obama's Mom, Ann Dunham...
Sun May 11, 2008 at 09:29:23 AM PDT
As I sat at the Atlanta International airport this Friday afternoon in transit, I whipped out Sen. Obama's 1995 autobiography Dreams from my Father to finally finish it up. Sitting there beneath the overhead TV monitor, I heard something on Wolf Blitzer's CNN Situation Room about McCain's latest TV Ad starring his 96-year old mother that perked up my ears.
I felt a twinge of sadness that the woman that Sen. Barack Obama describes so lovingly in the book I was reading could not physically be here to share in this historic moment in her son's life. In fact I recalled a response he gave to Wolf Blitzer during the interview this past Wednesday when asked what his Mom would think of him at this time. He replied:
She'd say, don't let it get to your head, just keep on working hard. But I think she'd be pretty proud. Everything that I am I owe to her. She was the kindest, most generous person I ever met. And her values and her integrity still guide me.
She is somebody who when I am confronted with difficult choices, I have to ask myself, you know, what would she -- what would she expect of me? And I think that's usually a good guidepost.
'Not only Penn: 'Tis Bill in bed with Colombia
Tue Apr 08, 2008 at 11:34:43 AM PDT
Had the MSM been doing their jobs, we would have known that the Colombia trade deal extended deeper than Penn's doorstop. Unfortunately with Petraeus's testimony today filling up the airwaves (and rightly so) Prez. Bill Clinton's complicity in the Colombian deal will likely make nothing but a small blip on the MSM radar.
Hillary goes Bowling!!!! Yaay...
Mon Apr 07, 2008 at 02:04:50 PM PDT
'Twas the battle of titans we had been waiting for...the big "Bowl Off."
Finally, on the seventh day of the fourth month of the year two thousand and eight of the Common Era, we had a pre-match taste of that seat-gripping, sinew-stretching, adrenaline oozing, mano-a-mano that Sen Clinton had promised us.
The venue? the Ellen Show. This promises to be good.....
Clinton Donors Threaten Pelosi, DNC...Again!
Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 02:10:53 PM PDT
No this is not a rehash of the story that New Historian posted on March 14 here on DailyKos about the Clinton donors in Florida requesting a refund of their donations to the DNC if the FL votes were not accepted. This time it's a letter that a group of 21 Clinton donors wrote to Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressing concern over her remarks to ABC News' Stephanopoulos, about her preference for superdelegates to vote for the candidate with the most pledged delegates and popular vote as a way to fairly resolve the Dem nomination process. The question is, are these donor threats becoming a pattern of "blackmail"?
An Ex-Wingnut sets record straight
Sun Mar 16, 2008 at 08:48:21 PM PDT
This is my very first diary, so I hope I get it right. I'm one of those Obama supporters barely recovering from my anger over the latest guilt by association flap over Rev. Wright, and looking for a salvo to hurl back at all those right wingnuts. Luckily some of you may have seen Frank Shaeffer's post today on HuffPo:
