Damned Murder Inc. in the Caribbean
Wow, just wow. October 27, 2017 will be remembered as a very bad day for Warren Commission apologists. If what has just been released is what is deemed acceptable to share with the American public and the world, the remaining files must be the final nails in the CIA's coffin. I'm going to present some of the bombshells from this document dump with links for your further study.
When Gerald Ford said, assassination is not and never should be a tool of American foreign policy he was lying. The documents show a CIA with a vigorous covert assassination program being implemented, aided or planned in multiple continents. It also makes the case for Lyndon Johnson's famous taped conversation that the CIA "had been operating a damned Murder Inc. in the Caribbean."
The "CIA Commission concerning the possible CIA involvement to assassinate foreign leaders" findings indicate the commission didn't consider the CIA to be an honest broker of information and that there was a lack of transparency and accountability within the organization, 'the nature of the activity and the degree of secrecy and compartmentalization within the Agency is such that it is difficult to find any evidence of this kind unless specific facts are brought to the attention of an investigating body"

Multiple Assassination Plots Targeting Fidel Castro
"A 1975 document from the Rockefeller Commission detailing the CIA's role in foreign assassinations said plans to assassinate Castro were undertaken in the early days of the Kennedy administration.”
The report said Attorney General Robert Kennedy, the President's brother, told the FBI he learned the CIA hired an intermediary "to approach Sam Giancana with a proposition of paying $150,000 to hire some gunman to go into Cuba and kill Castro."
The connection with Giancana was deep, with the Chicago mobster asking for and receiving from the CIA, a wire tap on the phone of one his girlfriends in Las Vegas, because he was jealous and thought she had taken a lover. Robert Maheu who became famous for becoming Howard Hughes' caretaker in the waning years of Hughes life was used as an intermediary between the CIA and the Chicago mob as a number of plans to assassinate Castro were discussed.
(On a side note, this lends credence to the idea that Maheu may have been installed in Howard Hughes' organization to act the CIA handler for Hughes, which has been suggested by many JFK conspiracy theorists over the years)
When Attorney General Robert Kennedy found out about the use of the Mafia by the CIA he shut the operation down, "Mr. Kennedy stated that upon learning CIA had not cleared its action in hiring (the intermediary) and Giancana with the Department of Justice he issued orders that the CIA should never again take such steps without checking with the Depart of Justice"
There was another plot by the CIA separate from the one involving the Mafia involving Cuban exiles equipped with rifles with 'telescopic sights'.
An Airforce liaison officer, 'testified that he believes a plane was provided and that the two Cuban exiles were to carry with them one or more rifles with telescopic sights to be used an attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro."
Plans also included the possibility of using botulism poisoning by planting an assassin in one of Castro's favorite restaurants and slipping the poison into his food.
Yet another plan targeted Castro's leisure activities, " It was known that Fidel Castro liked to skin-dive. The CIA plan was to dust the inside of the with a fungus producing madera foot, a disabling and chronic skin disease, and also contaminating the suit with tuberculosis bacilli in the breathing apparatus."
A final plan called for a coup with a high ranking member of the Cuban government involvement. " The Cuban also said 'That they would need some help in-arms probably-in getting started, in kicking off the coup.' The Cuban mentioned high powered rifles and scopes and said 'the felt they could capture sufficient arms to carry on once they started.'"
The case officer confirmed these weapons were delivered, "One or two caches of weapons, including high-powered rifles with scopes, were subsequently placed down in Cuba"
The Cuban's plans were found out and he was arrested by Castro's government and the CIA abandoned any support of him and abandoned any support of the plans they had contrived with him.
The plans were known by Bissell and Allen Dulles and others showing this wasn't some low level operation taking place without the consent of CIA leadership, 'According to (Sheffield) Edwards the plans while they were going on were himself, his case officer, Bissell, Allen Dulles, Director of Central Intelligence until November 1961, and General Cabell, Deputy Director of Intelligence during this period of time."
President Kennedy fired Bissell, Dulles and Cabell in an attempt to rein in the CIA.
CIA Planned, Aided and Equipped Assassination in the Dominican Republic
"The commission has also determined that the CIA was involved in the shipping of arms from this country (the U.S.) to persons in the Dominican Republic, who sought to assassinate Generalissimo Trujillo ( who himself had been involved in an attempt to assassinate the President of Venezuela.)"
The assassination of Trujillo sounds eerily similar to the conjecture of how the CIA might have planned, aided and equipped an assassination to help implement a coup in the United States of America.
"CIA and State Department officers in the Domican Republic were in regular contact with the plotters before the assassination, and they were well aware of the group's lethal intentions. The CIA had told the group of practical problems with several earlier assassination plans; it had offered to train a member of the group in the use of explosives to kill Trujillo.
"As a gesture of American support, three revolvers and three carbines, along with limited supplies of ammunition, were passed to plotter about two months before the assassination. One of the carbines was reportedly left at the scene of the crime."
It is interesting to note that Trujillo was ambushed while riding in an automobile, "Trujillo was shot and killed when his blue 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air was ambushed on a road outside the Dominican capital."

Discussion and Ordering of Assassination in the Congo
Deputy Director Richard Bissell was " 'aware of discussions of plans within the Agency concerning the possible assassination of Patrice Lumumba and that 'a case officer was directed to look into the possibilities."
Further, "Bissell asked him to go to the Congo and there murder or arrange for the murder of Lumumba"
"The commission has not found any evidence that the CIA participated in that killing (Congo's President Patrice Lumumba's), although there is evidence that prior to Lumumba's death some CIA personnel and others discussed the possibility of undertaking a plan to assassinate Lumumba."
Establishing Means to Commit Assassination
Well, my head is spinning and this is from just one 84 page document. These are actions the United States government has denied for decades and shows clearly that CIA had the means and methods to plan, enable, aid and act in complex assassination plans meant to rid themselves of political leaders the CIA deemed undesirable.
It shows also that the CIA actively used the Mafia in their plans and that even the commission investigating them doubted their transparency and willingness to provide full and honest information. There can be no doubt that these actions were approved of at the very highest levels of CIA leadership. All of these operations contain planning details that are too close to what conspiracy theorists have been laying out for decades in the murder of JFK.
Too close for comfort.
If we look at this information as establishing means, here's what we know.
1) The CIA had a robust assassination program targeting duly elected leaders of government and have lied about it repeatedly for decades.
2) They have been involved in plans on at least three occasions that included the use of 'high powered rifles’ with ‘telescopic sights'.
3) They successfully planned and executed, through proxies, the assassination of a foreign leader being ambushed in a moving car. As a result of that murder a coup was effected.
4) They had a deep relationship with the Mafia's Sam Giancana which consisted of providing him personal favors for his cooperation in assassination planning. This the CIA has also lied about for years.
5) The Sam Giancana connection can not be understated since Giancana was the defacto boss of Jack Ruby, Lee Harvey Oswald's assassin.
6) That intelligence officials that John F. Kennedy fired, Allen Dulles, Richard Bissell, General George Cabal all had knowledge of the CIA's assassination plans and provided either direct or tacit approval of the CIA's actions in that regard.
7) The CIA Commission assigned to provide oversight of the CIA had no faith in the CIA to deal with them from a basis of complete honesty and transparency.
8) The CIA had a deep talent pool of willing trained assassins that could be called upon if a need a arose for the removal of someone the agency deemed undesirable.
9) They were well versed in the use of proxies to avoid a direct and traceable path of guilt back to the CIA proper.
10) In Cuba the CIA had worked with a high ranking government official to implement a coup where they would install political leaders more in tune with the CIA's agenda.
In order to prosecute a crime successfully you have to establish the accused had means, motive and opportunity.
The motives have been known for a long time, Kennedy's desire to end the Vietnam war. His plans to return power over our financial policy to the people and out the hands of private banking cabal that comprises the Federal Reserve. Robert F. Kennedy's desire to go after Mafia. JFK's stated goal of smashing the CIA into thousand pieces which he started to implement with the firing Dulles, Bissell and Cabell.
Opportunity is crystal clear, Kennedy was murdered in a slow moving, open vehicle in a large public area rimmed by high-rise buildings facing an elevated knoll with wooden fence to provide cover.
And now, thanks to Oliver Stone, we have from this release of the JFK files, the knowledge that the CIA had the means to plan, supply, man and commit the assassination and had had the opportunity to benefit from lessons learned form it's previous operations.
If this is what the United States deems appropriate to share with it's citizenry then almost certainly the remaining documents must be even more incriminating.
God Bless Oliver Stone
We would not be seeing these documents if not for the efforts of the much maligned American filmmaker, Oliver Stone. It was his movie ‘JFK’ that provided the impetus to have the JFK assassination files declassified and shared with American people 25 years after the release of his seminal movie on the assassination.
If you have an interest in the Crime of 20th Century, get Stone's book, 'JFK, The Book of the Film'. It contains a full annotated screenplay with footnotes for the parts of the movie containing conjecture, many of which have been verified by this latest document release.

I had the opportunity to ask Oliver Stone a question at a public event in Hollywood a few years back. I asked what had lead him to Dallas and how had met Jim Garrison, what opposition he had encountered in making the movie and had he paid a price for his making a movie. Oliver spent over 10 minutes answering my question to point where people were looking at me like 'Who the hell is this guy?' He went into detail about his meeting with Garrison and the opposition he got before, during and after the completion of the movie, He concluded by saying that the American people owed a debt of gratitude to Jim Garrison, who also in part has been vindicated by this document release, for bringing the only case to trial in the murder of John F. Kennedy.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to Oliver Stone.
Because of him we are much closer to knowing the truth.
