Last night my daughter and her friend attended the Obama rally in Bristow, VA. Both Presidents Clinton and Obama were there, along with Tim Kaine (former VA governor and current candidate for senator) and Dave Matthews sans his Band. She discovered that another friend, a young woman, was going too, along with some of her family. They managed to meet up, though they were several thousand people apart in line, and all sat together. Now this young lady has a very Republican father, and she had heard nothing good about the President. She had told my daughter she was not going to vote at all, because she did not support Romney's platform. But her cousins encouraged her to come hear the President, and you can guess what happened. She just texted my daughter that she is voting for President Obama on Tuesday. She said she had never heard what he really believed and stood for until last night. Now, this rally was supposed to be for volunteers/workers and strong Democrats, but somehow this young woman became part of it. And now she is voting on Tuesday. It gives me hope that there might have been a handful of others who were also dragged along who now will vote for the President. I am so pleased I just had to share this with my fellow Kossaks!
