Clear Fraud in Financial Crisis -- Why Isn't Anyone in Jail? (Updated)

Having investigated many white collar crimes in my lifetime, this is a question that I have been asking myself and not understanding...

Why there have been no prosecutions or indictments of financial institutions like Lehman, WAMU, IndyMac, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Countrywide, AIG, and a boatload of other institutions that seemed to engage pretty heavily in financial undertakings that threaten to not just take down these companies but a central tenet of our country's foundation - capitalistic markets?

According to EVRI, the FBI has investigated IndyMac, but I doubt that the FBI is investigating IndyMac that intensively - see http://www.evri.com/... for a list of companies / entities that links to articles about what the FBI is investigating / scrutinizing currently.

So, I know a lot has been written about the electoral predictions, but I had to write a diary on this because this is just too funny and really, really good news for Obama!

Dick Morris (you know, the ~~guy~~ blithering idiot on Fox who hates Obama but hated Hillary more), well for all his faults (and boy are there a lot of them), he also at times apparently can ~~call a spade a spade~~ see the handwriting on the wall that Obama is going to win this election.

So, by using a new semantic content discovery tool just unveiled today - Evri - I found that Lehman Brothers, which is bankrupt, is on a hiring spree to recruit new employees. How can a company that filed for bankruptcy protection, has their hand out for some of the $700 Billion gravy train payout, and is being investigated by the FBI for fraud be actively hiring. Well, McCain is having a pretty bad week...he seems to be losing his "base" (aka the media), and as we have all probably heard by now, many of his fellow Republicans are either saying not so great things about him and Palin and / or endorsing Obama. So, in light of that, it may not come as too much of a surprise that yet another Republican is saying that they are a little surprised about a comment from Mr. "I don't know much about the economy" McCain...but here goes another diary about this...

Please be gentle. This is my first DailyKos diary, and I am just learning how to do this. I thought this video with Wolf tonight was really funny, as it might provide some insight into why Hillary is staying in the race and how much she will really campaign for Obama. I hope that Hillary will indeed campaign really hard for Obama, but I definitely have my doubts about that and interviews with faux pas like this certainly don't help me feel more confident.
