Sure I would like to change many minor things...past relationships...money issues, etc.
I do not know of anyone that, if they had a chance to change a past issue would not do so.
The question I often find is what that one thing would be.
I spend too much time thinking about stuff like this, I know. Being in the hospital bored to tears you do whatever you can to keep your mind flowing.
Anyway, the biggest change I would make has changed over the years. In the past 25 years or so my answer has been the same.
If I could change one decision/action I did as a child it would be to be more religious growing up.
I was raised as a Reform Jew, my days in religious school were dry and boring and i never felt like i fit in at the religious school that i went to. We were raised low middle class and unfortunately the temple my parents ended up joining was a very ritzy place in which money seemed to be a major issue, kids all went to the same public schools and if you didn't go to the same ones...oy.
So i spent most of the time not learning and exploring my religion and culture but trying to hide among the masses.
I later realized my religion and how i practice it is my own choice. I never felt comfortable learning more and exposing myself to more as i never felt comfortable in the environment.
I feel behind and learning Hebrew, the Talmud, etc is taking me a great deal more effort, which although I do not mind the hard work, I wish I had been learning all along the way.
I'm not sure if the above makes much sense or not. This is a topic I often think about but never wrote down in words so please forgive me if I'm rambling.
So...how about yourself? What would you do over?
