Okay.
Last week, I got the horse and two young folks on their way to Wyoming on the highways.
I got the Florida folks on board the Amtrak train, heading north to Georgia, where Stacey Abrams got on board with the Florida folks.
This week, in chapter 3, I am getting the west coast folks on board the Amtrak train.
By the way, my fictional journey is taking place in June of 2025.
I mention that so you know that the big fire should not be a factor in my plot.
Other than everyone looking out the windows of the train, and seeing the charred chimneys, if the tracks go close enough to see it.
The little dog is named Itzl.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at, to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off Daily Kos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on Daily Kos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
This is our current schedule of regular IAN diary writers:
Monday: Youffraita
Tuesday: bigjacbigjacbigjac
Wednesday: Pam from Calif
Thursday: art ah zen
Friday: FloridaSNMOM
Saturday: FloridaSNDad
Sunday: loggersbrat
This week, we are starting at Portland, Oregon, where loggersbrat will board the train with her 13-year-old grandson.
I will have everyone on the west coast travelling south.
I will explain later.
At Eugene, Oregon, nowordsmostly and their wife, Pat, will get on board the train.
They said they are not bringing any pets.
So, loggersbrat and her grandson and nowordsmostly and Pat, will get to know each other a little bit.
They will all travel south.
Look at the map:
www.amtrak.com/…
Tippy and Dad will join them at Sacramento.
(I think they said that is where they are.)
Now the group will all take the route that heads west and goes through San Franciso.
If I recall correctly Mister Green in Salinas, and he gets on the train next.
He will bring his cats and dogs.
They are so charming; they will get the folks to vote blue.
Also in that area, we have Pam and Maci!
Pam will bring Maci onto the train, and Maci will say hello to everyone.
When we all get to Wyoming, Maci will say, “Vote Blue!”
And everyone in Wyoming will obey!
Ha!
Frank’s Human is also in the LA area, so they get on the train as well.
And if Frank is their dog or cat, then Frank is on the train.
Then heading east through the Los Angeles area, Cat Riley (aaz) and her husband Bill will get on board the train.
They will bring their dog, Razzle, and maybe a cat.
On the train, Mister Green and Bill will talk.
It may seem like too much information, but this get-out-the-vote group should talk to the voters about health care.
Obamacare, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Everyone knows: food in, food out.
However:
Bill takes his food in through a feeding tube at his tummy.
Mister Green lets his food out through an ostomy bag at his tummy.
These two men should confront the voters, and talk about their challenges, and talk about health care in America.
Voting for Democrats is the way to make sure we have proper health care in America.
Anyway.
All these nice folks will then travel east on the southern route, through Tuscon and into Texas.
Eventually, they will join up with Mort, who will travel from Louisiana to San Antonia, where they will all meet.
In a future chapter, I will explain their route from there.
Well, let me know if I missed anyone on the west coast.
Next week, I plan to write about our friends heading north near the east coast.
Anyway.
Hugs!
