Today is the day before the South Carolina state legislature comes back to the capital. The reason?

The lawmakers will be dealing with multiple vetoes affecting state agencies, health services and public education. Protests have been nonstop today, where groups have attacked Nikki Haley over cutting teachers’ salaries, defunding (and ultimately shutting down) the Arts Commission and slashing funds for S.C. rape crisis centers.

Charleston, SC – There’s no doubt that Bobbie Rose was glad to hear the Supreme Court’s decision on the Affordable Care Act this morning. All one had to do is hear the first word out of her mouth after learning of it.

“Amen!” Rose says in response to the 5-4 ruling that upholds the Act, which she calls “one of the most important decisions the Supreme Court will make in our lifetimes.”
