The fact is that in this economic environment NASCAR sponsors are being hit HARD. A large component of the sponsorship base is found not only in car manufacturers and car parts manufacturers, but also in the core of the US economy: Unilever, Kellogs, Coca Cola, etc.
A quick counter to the House and Senate opposition to Obama's economic policies from NASCAR teams would be a game stopper. All of the teams and NASCAR itself stand to gain from the progressive economic policies of the Obama administration and stand to LOSE BIG if the Republican base gets it's way.
