Make a Difference, Be Part of the Campaign

I have a group of advisors called "The Kitchen Cabinet" and you can join us.

The Kitchen Cabinet discusses issues, strategy, and message in a Private Google Group and at least once a month we have a conference call. The next conference call is December 21st at noon EST. I am Barry Welsh and I am in a rematch with Mike Pence for Indiana’s United States House of Representative seat in the 6th Congressional District. This time next year, with your help, I plan to be preparing for our first term in Washington D.C., and the beginning of a period of much needed change. The citizens of Indiana are ready for that change as the latest local elections, and the latest Poll from the Indianapolis Star and WTHR Channel 13 reflect.

In the 2007 Municipal elections across the 6th District of Indiana, The Democratic Party won the mayoral races in Muncie, Anderson, and Ft. Wayne, the three largest cities in the district, and retained seats in Richmond and Columbus. In Rush County, one of the most Republican dominated counties in the state, the elected Mayor and majority of city council is Democratic.

I have been away from politics and from campaigning and from most World News for a few days because I have a very sick sister, and am in the process of moving to a different house.

I came online to thank everyone that has helped our campaign, and I do thank you each and every one. But what happened to The Democratic Party?

I am running for Congress, something I take very seriously, and one of the main reasons I am passionate about running is to end the occupation of Iraq.

I come home for a few minutes and I watch the Presidential debate and they are talking about getting out by 2013!!!! What the Hell Happened?

WASHINGTON -- Pennsylvania's Rep. John Murtha acknowledged yesterday that the public is deeply dissatisfied with Congress' inability to bring an end to the Iraq war, yet he predicted that Democrats would pick up as many as 40 to 50 House seats in next year's election.
"You're going to see a big Democratic win," Mr. Murtha, D-Johnstown, told reporters after a speech at the National Press Club

Wow! This is a long way out, and those are big numbers the Congressman is throwing around

I am Barry Welsh and I am running against Mike Pence for Indiana’s 6th Congressional District. Yes, the Mike Pence that said Iraq was like any Indiana Market in the Summertime.

Pence is holding to his claim, as Thomas points out on the front page of Blue Indiana.

"Mike Pence: Still holding on to his dream of an Iraq that resembles an Indiana market, even if that means sacrificing his last shred of credibility. Too bad he isn't as dedicated to protecting the troops as he is to protecting President Bush."

I am Barry Welsh and I am the candidate that will beat Mike Pence (R-Iraq Market) for the 6th District House seat in Indiana.

We are rolling out a digital, multi-media campaign on line and on the ground. It is going to be a different campaign this time and it is exciting. Our Virtual Campaign Headquarters 2.0 is on line. Give it a look and let me know what you think.

We will have a presence on MySpace and Facebook. We will be in more blogs, on more sites, and taking things to a new level. It’s not all virtual though. We are preparing a strategic targeted ground attack as well, and it has already begun.

One more cog of the magical matrix machine went on line yesterday at noon, and will continue every Tuesday at noon EST.
Once a week I am going to be doing a 15 minute internet radio show that can be podcast and is hosted At Blog Talk Radio.

Of course this is taken from "Brother can you spare a dime?" and Sisters was added for equality.

No, I do not want a roll of quarters for video games, although I have a soft spot for arcades and my12 year old and I like to play skeeball and air hockey.

NO, I do not want a roll of quarters for a peep show. That’s the other party.

No, it’s not for slot machines or even bubble gum.

I am asking for a roll of quarters every month for Representative Government of The People, By the People. That change will come at a cost, and it is one you CAN afford.

There was a time period when I was in my car yesterday, and I could only receive an Indianapolis Radio station that had Rush Limbaugh broadcasting.
I only have AM radio in the car.

He was introducing himself as the Real Leader of the World, or something equally obnoxious and blatantly false and then launched into his speel.

Billo and Fox accuse this site and thus all of us, of hate etc.

I had these things on my mind, and someone sent an email that was forwarded on to them about what the Iraq occupation was causing in the rest of the world. The email was trying to make us more afraid than we should be.

I wrote a rant that I would like to share below.

Today at noon, citizens of Indiana’s 6th Congressional District, who are also MoveOn members, gathered in front of the Anderson, Indiana office of Congressman Mike Pence.

There were groups all around the country doing similar protests at their local Congressperson’s office.
