Hillary Clinton lost my vote in 2008. I think a person’s character comes into focus when under pressure. When Hillary was under pressure from Barack Obama during the primaries, she decided to throw the kitchen sink at him, including birther innuendos. That was and is unforgivable. That showed her character. Everything else really just confirms this central point.
I am not a Bernie Sanders supporter in the sense that I “feel the Bern”. But I do think he is a decent human being. He got my vote in the Virginia primaries.
I am disheartened that the Democratic party establishment believes that Hillary Clinton should be our next president. With what is going on in the Republican party right now and the likely Democratic nominee, I fear for the future of this country.
I am amused at this site’s attempt to stifle critical commentary of Hillary Clinton. It just highlights weakness. I’ve visited and contributed to this site since 2006. There was plenty of good writing here to keep me coming back. Being that its March 19th, I am looking forward to my banning so that I can take this one off my reading list.
Hillary Clinton does not have my vote in Virginia this November. I suspect she will lose enough Democratic votes here to lose this state — and as a result the election. At the end of the day, people do not vote because they are told to “toe the party line” and people — at least Democrats — don’t vote out of fear. Bill Clinton was right — you should always pick hope over fear. Here’s hoping we have better choices in 2020. I liked the "hopey changey" thing in 2008. We had a great run.
