My father did two tours in the Nam. The first one was in the infantry, the second was after he came home reenlisted and took the Special Forces test and became a green beret. He killed many commies he told all. "On my first tour I killed five maybe six, the last one was never confirmed but I always thought I got him" then he would take a hit off his scotch. My friend Matty was a marine. he joined up after our other friend John, so that he could do his part in protecting John..He spent a tour in Iraq and came home unhurt...johnny finished his commitment to the marines after being a part of the initial invasion element but matty had 1 year to go. He was called back up to duty a few months ago and was sent back off to Iraq. I ran into his mother yesterday in town and she was nervous because Matty had called and was nervous about a mission he was being sent on in which he thought he was going into syria. Matty's mom had a marine in full regal show up to the house to tell her, that her son had fought hard for her freedom. he said that he fought hard for her freedom! freedom i say from what? Read More

King of Jordan to pardon Iraq's deputy PM over $300m bank fraud

King Abdullah of Jordan has agreed to pardon Ahmed Chalabi, the controversial Iraqi political leader, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for fraud after his bank collapsed with $300m (£160m) in missing deposits in 1989.

Jalal Talabani, the Iraqi President, asked the king to resolve the differences between Jordan and Mr Chalabi, now Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq, during a visit to Ammanthis week.

Latif Rashid, the Iraqi minister of water resources, said Mr Talabani confirmed to him that King Abdullah had promised, in effect, to quash the conviction. He expected there would first be a meeting between Jordanian officials and Mr Chalabi "who has some questions of his own." Read More

SUPPORT OUR KIDS-RESPECT OUR TEACHERS

-Its been three years since city hall took control of our schools. what has happened?

-classes are still too big, and the system is still underfunded
-too many schools are still unsafe and overcrowded
-parents have lost their voice in the education of their children.
- Teachers have gone two years without a contract and make up to 15% less than in the suburbs.
Despite these terrible conditions, teachers are still rolling up their sleeves and fighteing for our childre. It's time to give them a FAIR contract and the support they need to educate our kids.

and a whore for ratings.....and for that matter pretty pathetic in the fact that he had a male psuedo-marine gay escort on his show and failed to make me laugh or even glean any new information about why our pillow biting friend had sleep overs in the white house. maher could have verbally destroyed gannon, but let him stay on message (tell me that wasn't such an epic rove-esque performance)and survive what should have been a constant attack on his doings in the white house. the fact of the matter is bill maher has no testicular fortitude and its now more apparent than ever.
